I just got back from this hotel having gone with a group of girlfriends. I must say, we all had a lovely time. The staff are extremely attentive , and the rooms are very clean. The lobby itself is amazing , having undergone a recent refurbishment. The only slight issue was the that everytime we needed to speak to reception, we were forced to wait 20-30 minutes as they seemed to be very understaffed! Aside from this, I would highly recommend this superb hotel and would definitely stay here again. Thank you to all the team for making us feel so welcome!

first of all... great location and the staff is really trying their best to keep the guests satisfied, but very understaffed hotel. you could see the same persons running around in the restaurant early in the morning and they were still running at 8pm at dinner!!! and they looked tired.
all pretty clean but furnitures getting a bit tired, beds are horrible. the design in the public area such as reception and the piano bar is bright and clean, but in the evening i recommend they turn off the lights in the ceiling to create a bit more cozy admosphere at the pianobar. shall i start commenting on the food? it is really bad, everything tastes the same... no taste. we had the option of half board or all inclusive and we took the half board, we went out for dinner a few times just to remind us how it feels to taste something. but i want to say again that the location is great and the staff is really trying to keep the guests happy, i really hope they get paid well, they deserve it. but still, I will not stay there again.

Dear Mr/Mrs.:

We thank for your comments on this website, we have informed of these to the F&B Manager to check the informed points. Your opinion has been already sent to the General Manager to be taken into consideration, but obviously the decoration the same as others things, is a cuestion of tastes or experiences.

We wish if you come back to Tenerife you decide to come back.

29/3/12 just returned from week's holiday with my daughter. We just needed rest, warm and good food and some nice restaurants to go to in the evening. The room was not modernised but seaview and 5th floor with sea and pool view and was great for what we needed. We were on half board optin which was great for us, we had every meal outside the restaurant which was far nicer than inside and the breakfast was very good just the coffee/tea not great. You can change the half board dinner option to lunch and if you stick with the fresh food it was perfect for us - had the most delicious on the spot cooked fish. In the week we ate in 2 evenings and out 5 evenings and found some really good restaurants particularly Pisces down at La Caleta - recommended and by far best fish I have had in years and good value - took a taxi there and back. Down side is that you have to get up at 7am to get good position and umbrella at pool, reception very slow and unhelpful, not nearly enough staff but atmosphere very nice and location excellent. For a restful easy stay with good fresh food (puddings not great!) then this place is good to go to. Best to stick to the newer modern part of Playa De Las Americas.

Room Tip: Ask for high quiet room and best to pay to have seaview as other side not great. The re modernised rooms are much nicer.

Dear Mr/Mrs.:

We thank for your contribution on tripadvisor about our hotel (H10 Conquistador). In few months we are waiting to have the whole hotel renovated, so we think you will enjoy at your following stay. The comment about how slow was the reception, I am personaly working to reduce the procedures to run faster and have more time for the guest who requires.

It takes a time to adapt the system but we hope the changes will be noticed in a few weeks from the start of these.

Thank you so much for your point of view.

Regards,

Best regards,

My brother and I have recently returned from a week-long stay at Conquistador, and a fantastic holiday in Playa De Las Americas.

I should point out that - as two young 20-something's who weren't 'together' - this hotel is probably, at least in March, geared more toward couples slightly older than ourselves. But it was our decision to book here, we were aware from the outset that it probably wouldn't be a particularly 'lively' hotel - and we were happy with that.

Unfortunately I have to agree with a recent review regarding Hotel Check-In. Having travelled for 9 hours, and queued for another half-hour at Reception, the welcome wasn't particularly warm. No information was given as to what was where and how things worked - we were simply given two keys, a piece of paper with meal times and told our room was on the third floor. I expect as two young British 'lads' both staff and some of the other guests already had pre-conceptions about us, and so didn't waste their time with us.

Aside from that issue, the hotel was good.
Clean, modern decor in the Lobby, Reception and surrounding Common Areas.
Very nice and varied Buffet food with themed nights kept it feeling fresh throughout the week. Service in the restaurant was attentive, friendly and efficient, with the exception of one night when it was nearly full and ordering a drink took some time - to be expected.

The room was clean and functional, with a nice bathroom, great shower, decent sized tv (although there were only 2 English channels on our's - seemed to cater more towards the Germans and Spanish) and nice views of both the Mountains and a bit of Sea.
The cleaner's did a great job in tidying our room - leaving it spotless every time.

Overall, I enjoyed my stay at this hotel, but I probably would only return with either a partner, or when I am a little bit older, so as not to feel slightly alienated.

Dear Mrs.:

We have read your interesant contribution to this site, and we thank you. I am, as Front and Back office Manager, trying to changes some procedures which getting better the time guests have to wait to be attended in a hotel with so high occupation and so high repeater guests requiring different things at the front desk which sometimes do the reception a little bit crowded.
About the English channels and due to the information we received from this and other sites, we are studying to contract another TV system which provide more Channels to much more languages and diferent programs to do more pleasant the stay.

We hope at your next visit, you can check the changes and they like you.

Best regards,
