The over night stay was due to a wedding event held at a local venue.
No early check in was ever secured after a few attempts at speaking to someone at the facility. The event was at 4 & so was check-in. I do not mind self parking but the self parking was a bit far from the hotel.
The walkway from self parking was dimly lit to say the least & it was dark by the time we checked in. It would be entirely too far to carry luggage. However, valet parking was available for 18.00 a night. The bed was a platform bed & not comfortable at all especially if you have any form of back issues.
The room was dimly lit. The water pressure for the tub was very little.
It was very noisy all night, even to the point of turning the heat/cooling unit on as not to heat the noise.
This was not a pleasant over night stay.
On a positive note if you are there for other amenities the outdoor area looked really nice.

The hotel is in a nice area. It is divided into two buildings, fairly far apart. The spa is not in the high rise if that helps you to chose which building you want. Also count on a mandatory 20% gratuity if you go. If you park at the high rise, you should count on $18 valet parking unless you want to hike in from the parking lot. It feels unfinished when you first walk in. I think they are still recovering from a recent flood. All the rooms are spacious suites with a fridge but no microwave. The furniture is all very low to the floor. The closet space is nice but we didn't find the luggage rack until the last day. Its under the bar as you first enter the room. The lunch buffet will run you $21. It took three times of asking before we could get some water, half way through our meal. Later that evening we found drinks are $8.50-$9.50 each.
We didn't use the facilities for children but could see them from our room. There is a pool, some lake access and a floating area for the tubes. I really think kids would enjoy this area.

Came here a day early for a business trip. The valet team was so very nice and helpful...usually I feel like valet employees are overbearing and impatient but not here. My room was gorgeous and cleaned great daily by me simply pressing a button that I needed my room cleaned. Front desk employees were very helpful and kind.

I booked a room for 3 nights over spring break with my daughter and a friend and her daughter this past weekend. We arrived on Saturday night. I was a little apprehensive as the reviews seemed to be a mixed bag. Overall, we had a great time. There were a couple of things that were a little disappointing, but we were away with friends, and had a lot of fun with our kids. Some of the Spring Break programming that was advertised didn't take place. One night the pool area was closed before 8 PM despite being posted open until 10.

Check in was quick and efficient, we were pleased with our room. We had a large suite with a living room and a bedroom with 2 double beds with a large bathroom. We ate at Coco Cove near the lazy river the first night, and the food was pretty expensive and not that great. Valet Parking was $18/night. Sunday night, we ate at the Lakeside restaurant. We had heard many great things from other guests, but sadly we were underwhelmed by the food. The service was friendly, but slow. I had the 6 oz tenderloin steak, my friend had the peppercorn strip. For the price we paid ($150 for 2 ppl), I was seriously disappointed with the food quality. The brussel sprouts were wonderful, though. After that, we only ate off-site. Fajita Jacks was good as was Sam's Boat. We had yummy crawfish there!

The aqua park looked good, however, it was not completely open when we were there, despite being told it would be. The lazy river was not open. The heated pool and hot tub were nice with poolside service if you desired. The weather was a little cool (low 70s), so EVERYONE was in the heated pool and hot tub. The girls enjoyed playing mini-golf. The arcade looked great, however, they didn't spend any time there, There were movies at the pool one night, and in the convention center on other nights. We had hoped to book some spa appointments with our girls while we were there, but they were completely booked. Views were beautiful and overall, the resort was a great place to go and just relax.

It's clear the area is still rebuilding after Hurricane Harvey. The kids club and teen club were both closed and appeared to be under construction, There are areas of the grounds that are still under construction. Sadly the palm trees haven't bounced back yet. There are some areas inside and outside of the hotel that could use some TLC, but for the rate we paid, I could not complain. The employees we encountered were friendly and did a good job.

Stayed at the resort while attending a small conference.

The hotel grounds are nice with lots of on site activities. Parking is a little bit away and valet parking will set you back $18/day.room rates are fairly reasonable but typically don’t include breakfast. My room rat had free Wi-if.

Rooms are nice and big (mine had a sitting area, and a separate bedroom), very large bathroom, and a nice balcony with seeping views of the lake. (I was in the main building). There are several restaurants on site and a nice bar.

Getting up and down to the high floors is a pain because the elevators are really slow!

Front office staff is very friendly and courteous. Overall a pretty good resort.
