Great hidden Gem in New Braunfels!! Located downtown, off of San Antonio st right beside the rail road tracks. Great atmosphere and quiet! You can actually carry on a conversation. A little pricing so probably best saved for a special occasion. We had family coming in so it was the perfect place for us. Our out of town guests raved about the hamburgers said they were best I've ever tasted! I had their special Tilapia it was really good, great flavor and my fiance had grilled chicken and said it was delicious and to add this place to our list of places to go ( he doesn't say that much LOL). The waitress was attentive but
not overbearing, so so we didn't feel like we had to rush, it was just a nice place to sit and talk and have a nice meal, highly recommended!

We arrived shortly after 11 AM and ordered sandwiches. The sandwiches arrived quickly and were quite good but by 11:20 people were starting to file in and by the time we finished our desert and were leaving almost every seat was occupied even seats at the bar. The food is good, as is the presentation and the servers attentive but if you come later then11:45 you will probably have to wait for a table. Great place and very popular.

My wife and I chose Huisache Grill to eat at based on several recommendations from friends. They did not dissappoint. We had the Fried Brie appetizer with Rasberry Chipotle sauce. Definitely a two thumbs up! then for the main course my wife had the Hot and Tasty Trout, a definite large portion of deliciousness served with jalapeno tartar sauce. I had the Mixed Grill, a combination of chicken, shrimp, beef and quail. All of the food was definitely tasty and seasoned and cooked as ordered. They also have an extensive wine list also. We did not have a dessert, as we were both stuffed from our meal. They do not take reservations, and may be a little difficult to find if you dont know where to look as it is back behind other buildings off the main drag. Definitely worth having a meal there if you are in New Braunfels.

Wanted to try something different so this was the restaurant we chose. Very pleased with our selection as all four of us enjoyed our selections. I had the trout which our server recommended and was excellent. The only reason for not giving the restaurant a 5 star was our server was over loaded with tables and we had to wait for service and our check a little longer than one would hope for. Will return the next time we are in New Braunfels. Nice place

Huisache Grill was the first restaurant we visited when we decided to move to New Braunfels nine years ago. We were pleasantly surprised to find such a charming spot with an eclectic menu and an interesting wine list. On top of that we experienced great service. We have visited Huisache many times over the last nine years.

A lot has changed in our City since 2008...except for Huisache. It's still a great spot.

We're so lucky to now have a plethora of excellent choices - and Huisache still ranks among the very best.
