I'll admit that we're particular about Italian food, having lived for many years in the NYC/NJ area. After 2 years we have not really found a pasta place in TX that keeps us going back. Vinny's decor is nice and our service was excellent. Prices are extremely reasonable ($7.99 for a choice of several pasta dishes plus salad and rolls from 11 a.m.-4 p.m.). You can't beat their prices in general! The food, however, was just average and we won't return. The baked ziti was in more of a pink sauce and was swimming in sauce - a bit too much. The chicken Parmesan was OK. We also had their cannolis, not bad. Their bread is a large, soft roll - tasty but we prefer crusty Italian bread.

Went here the other night with my wife. The staff is nice enough and genuinely want to help.

We sat down and placed our drink order, with a quarter of the place filled up service was quick to come to the table. We placed out drink order and water a while before it hit the table.
We ordered the stuffed mushroom which were ok. The mushrooms were small and the sauce was good. I would expect for an appetizer that the. Sunrooms would be bigger than small to medium size, plus the filling was not plentiful. The mushroom definitely dominated the taste, not the filling. The squad they were served was good.

My wife order the eggplant Parmesan. It was three pieces of eggplant jelly rolled around the filling with sauce on top and a piece of cheese in top. She thought it was ok at best.
I ordered the lasagna and it tasted fresh made just not made well. It tasted like it was not baked long enough and had no firmness.
Both sauces tasted like someone read about Italian food some where verses making it there own.
Dessert was tismisu. It was not flavorful and once again looked like some ones first attempt to make a dessert.

Over all it is ok at best. A place like this would never survive a major urban environment but for Trophy Club it is ok.

Vinny's is a good place to meet family and friends. The restaurant tables are not too close to each other so you do not feel jammed in like some establishments. Food is always HOT and GOOD! You will feel welcombed when you arrive and the service will be good.

My wife and I enjoy Vinny's hospitality and food. Sunny is our favorite server. Pasta sampler, veal parmigiana, salads, and a bottle of wine is our standard fare.
