I have come here a dozen times over 20 odd years. I've stayed anywhere from 3 days to 30. I have found out that if you are beat to hell, if you are eating bad, if you are a couch potato, if you are sad and can't get out of it - then all you need to start moving out of that state of mind is three full days here.
Wake up - take the hikes - do all of the classes. In the afternoon lie out in the hammock with an audiobook. Take the learning classes after lunch (Andrea Hansen/Cindy Clemmons/Dr. Brad) then walk for 40 minutes in the indoor pool - actually get your hair wet - go back to the cafeteria and get a cup of decaf iced or tea. Order your dinner for pick up - woof it down in your room then head out into town for a movie, a game of pool or stick around for the evening agenda.
When you get back in, run into the spa's steam room. There is already a robe there, towels and water - so you don't need anything...just walk in through the downstairs door. You can wash your hair in the shower next store. This is the highlight of the day.
Grab another cup of tea and head to your room - a few minutes of television and you are off to sleep in an incredible bed. You won't even need a sleeping pill because you have done about 22,000 steps today and your body will be naturally tired.
If you don't like the food, ask for a chicken breast and they will give it to you - but the food is good. The spa treatments are great. The little town is wonderful, great places to shop - there is a boutique called The Bella Donna on St. George boulevard. I love it there.
This place is perfect to shock your system back into a good place - you don't need a week if you don't have a week - 3 days will work.
2 hours drive from Vegas or you can fly into their airport and they will come and pick you up. As a side note - it does not matter what time of year that you go - if it is too hot - do things early in the day and indoors, if it is too cold - do the things indoors. The point is to feel better and this place works.
Great employees - great gift to yourself.
