Description: We set out to create a fun place to eat great food, served by really friendly people, in a relaxifying atmosphere, surrounded by cool art & good music. Simple. We want our place to be a spot where you can come and have a wonderful time after a fantastic day of hiking, a long day of driving, or a lazy, waste-lots-of-time-doing-nothin' day & find an oasis of enjoyment for your senses. There's a reason we don't have WiFi. Chill. Exhale. Sit. Listen. Look around. Power down. Kill the phone. Stow the tablet. Talk to the people you're dining with. Talk to the people sitting next to you. Enjoy your meal. Don't rush.(Unless you've been at the table for three hours, then you need to: eat it & beat it!. And no, we don't mean eat the table, that would take a long time and the splinters are hard to digest). Smile.

One more visit to our favourite restaurant in the US...let alone southern Utah! We actually planned our visit with friends (this time) around the opening night of this exceptional restaurant. It gets better each time I visit. And each and every time our friends from around the world who visit us in Tucson and wish to see the nearby National Parks, are without exception overwhelmed by the excellent food in this one-of-a-kind funky yet elegant restaurant. The service is impeccable, the food..cleanly and perfectly prepared, the best of produce, meats and fish with ecclectic and authentic south-western accroutements. Victoria prepares the best (made from scratch every day) desserts imagineable..my favourite is her bread pudding, although the choalate mousse , creme caramel and key lime pie are also way up there!!

And Victor, your owner and host is simply Victor...fun, friendly, smart and genuine. Kanab (and we) are lucky to have this fabulous restaurant!!!

Their first night of the season, was our lucky night.Stopped by for an appetizer and a drink on a beautiful evening. We decided to have a full meal, and it was terrific.Food full of flavours, and uniquely blended ingredients. The food was great, but the staff and Victor made the visit more pleasent.Light joking, excellent service and pleasent conversation, made us feel like we neighbors.

A must do if you're close to Kanab.

Thanks ,

Paul and Liana

Rockin V is first rate. From the outstanding customer service, to the outstanding menu, to the selection of wines and the fabulous desserts! People actually drive from Sedona AZ to come to this resturant. Oh, and don't miss the great art gallery upstairs!

I've been to the Rocking V so many times with countless friends and our B&B guests and it never fails to be a great experience. Many visitors think of Kanab as just a convenient and quaint bedroom before they launch into the real experience of the National Parks and Public Lands. True, but don't underestimate the unique and thoroughly enjoyable assets of this pioneer town (once known as the Little Hollywood of the West). Rocking V has a great cozy atmosphere with an upstairs gallery of local artists. The Host, Victor, will greet and regale you with stories while his wife Victoria runs a kitchen that turns out a wide variety of always perfectly well-done meals. They buy produce from local growers & have a diverse menu; buffalo to fish taco. Their soups are elegant; the tomato-basil is superb. If you are traveling with pets the little outdoor patio is animal-friendly.
