What a cool concept - Fireside Dining by night, ski lodge by day. I loved our experience here - Deer Valley just knows how to do things right. We arrived and took a quick sleigh ride - we didn't realize there was a fee for this (around $15/person), then came into the restaurant and got our bearings. There are four different fireplace areas - one is a raclette station where there is a block of cheese that drips down onto a plate, then there is another big table with "dippers" like cornichons, pearl onions, salami, etc. to fill your plate with. They have an area with hearty stews that are heating over a fireplace, then another fireplace with legs of lamb cooking over the fire. Finally, the dessert fondue with chocolate, white chocolate and caramel and a bunch of dippers, which was a highlight. The service here was great and my husband and I were pleasantly surprised with the reasonable cost for our meal. We had a great time!
