I went here on a whim while traveling for business and was not disappointed. The restaurant sits on the water and the food was great and the service was good

We visited The Marina in October when we happened upon it in our travels. It was a busy, yet quiet and relaxing spot. The decor was intriguing. The tin man on the wall was great! Food smelled, looked and tasted amazing!

We've never stayed in this area before so we didn't know what to expect from any of the area restaurants. We chose the Marina because they advertised that they served baked scallops and It was what I wanted and we also were hoping for a view. We ended up at a table with a direct view to the river, it was beautiful. The Scallops were very tender and cooked perfectly, the seasoning wasn't my favorite (I prefer a bread crumb type baked scallop), but it was tasty. My husband had a simple chicken finger plate, which he said was good. The portions were pretty small however, so come prepared to order dessert if you're REAL hungry! The service was attentive and pretty quick. What I liked the best was the very casual family like atmosphere of the place!

Located on puttany Rd outside of town on the edge of the river. Outdoor seating or inside with view of the river. Large selection of drinks and extensive food menu from sandwiches and burgers to entrees. Buffalo sandwich was outstanding as was the crab cakes. Prices are mostly under $15

Looking for a special Saturday night donner, we found the The Marina Restaurant hidden behind a bowling alley with a small sign on the state route. The restaurant had filled patio and main dining room by 6PM as we lucked into an outdoors table tucked in at the railing overlooking the marina. WE witnessed a beutiful sunset while we chose our dinner and ate slowly the well prepared meal.
WE sought advice about the Lobster and Scallop pie ( $25) as lobster pie is one of our favorite New England dishes The waitress just said it was a good seller without further comment The description stated it had a top crust of puff pastry with the lobster, scallops and mushrooms in a cream sauce under the crust. but was it a traditional lobster pie? It came with two sides which we chose green beans and wild rice. We decide to splurge on this entree. Our server had no idea what we were asking. She stated she never eats lobster.
. Our other entree was an evening special of Swordfish salad ($15) which sounded especially appealing on a warm October night
Our Lobster-Scallop" pie" was not a pie but two sleeves of puff pastry with a filling of lobster meat, scallops and mushrooms with some cream sauce . .WE picked out the seafood overwhelmed by the puff pastry surrounding it. It looked better than it tasted Not very warm either as it apparently had sat awhile waiting for the other entree. Disappointiung. Our server was no where in sight and did not check to see if we liked our meal.
The swordfish was fresh and hot from dresh grilling The salad was large and full of nibbles within the greens Tryly a robust entree salad with a large swordfish steak on top.
WE enjoyed the maina below as people sought to get a last fall pontoon boat ride on the lake.
By the time we finished there was along line waiting for tables and the service personele were overwhlemed to give basic service It took excessive time to get water refreshed and the check from our server.
WE enjoyed this fall dinner ina waterside restaurant but it had inadequate staff to get entrees on the table warm or to replenish water.
