We stayed at the inn for a night with our baby grandson while our son and his wife attended a wedding. We were at the inn the entire time. We also had their dog - the inn is pet friendly. The inn is an expansion of an old farm house and is a rambling structure. There is a great view of the Killington peaks of the Green Mountains from the front lawn. You can enjoy that view while using the lawn furniture and a fire pit, or the patio outside the dining room. There is also a small outdoor pool. The rooms were very comfortable and the staff was great. The front desk person showed us around the inn, explained the amenities, and asked what we needed. If you want to shop or dine out, Rutland is a short ride down the mountain. We did not use the fitness room as we were quite occupied with our active grandson. There was plenty of room to walk the dog, including a trail in the woods behind the inn. There is a nice game/activity room near the front desk and a very cozy library upstairs. The rooms have the usual TV, wi-fi, and air conditioning.
There were several couples from my son's college at the inn, including several small children. All agreed that the inn was a very comfortable place.
My favorite amenity was breakfast, which was included with the room price. The dining room was comfortable and was more than adequate for our group and our several small children, The choice of breakfasts was impressive, I had one of the specials - a spinach/mushroom/cheese omelet with sausage, home fries and toast. I am a potato fanatic and I make pretty good home fries, but these were the best I have eaten in my 67 years. Other specials were pancakes, eggs, etc. Everyone in our group was impressed by the quality and quantity of the meal and the service was attentive and friendly.
