We stayed at the Vermont Inn to attend a wedding nearby. To accommodate a different wedding, they gave us a room upgrade. Our room had a Jacuzzi in the sitting room! The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is made-to-order specifically for each person. There's a lovely path down to a nearby creek, for those like us who didn't have time for a real hike, it was especially nice to be able to explore the woods even a little. We loved everything about this place, from the staff and decor, right down to the VHS tapes of 90's movies.

We stayed at the inn for a night with our baby grandson while our son and his wife attended a wedding. We were at the inn the entire time. We also had their dog - the inn is pet friendly. The inn is an expansion of an old farm house and is a rambling structure. There is a great view of the Killington peaks of the Green Mountains from the front lawn. You can enjoy that view while using the lawn furniture and a fire pit, or the patio outside the dining room. There is also a small outdoor pool. The rooms were very comfortable and the staff was great. The front desk person showed us around the inn, explained the amenities, and asked what we needed. If you want to shop or dine out, Rutland is a short ride down the mountain. We did not use the fitness room as we were quite occupied with our active grandson. There was plenty of room to walk the dog, including a trail in the woods behind the inn. There is a nice game/activity room near the front desk and a very cozy library upstairs. The rooms have the usual TV, wi-fi, and air conditioning.

There were several couples from my son's college at the inn, including several small children. All agreed that the inn was a very comfortable place.

My favorite amenity was breakfast, which was included with the room price. The dining room was comfortable and was more than adequate for our group and our several small children, The choice of breakfasts was impressive, I had one of the specials - a spinach/mushroom/cheese omelet with sausage, home fries and toast. I am a potato fanatic and I make pretty good home fries, but these were the best I have eaten in my 67 years. Other specials were pancakes, eggs, etc. Everyone in our group was impressed by the quality and quantity of the meal and the service was attentive and friendly.

Room tip: Rooms in the front face the mounatins.

Thank you so much! It was great having you here at the Vermont Inn. We are happy to have made your evening babysitting a pleasant one! I am so glad you love my home fries, my wife and I always argue about whose are better, I think this put it over the top! Hope to see you soon.

I stayed for 2 night at The Vermont Inn in the labor day weekend, and hubby and I are both very happy about staying in the Vermont Inn. It is quiet and cozy, but they have every thing you need. They have sauna, hot tub , swimming pool , game room, beverage room and a small bar. I love the warm welcoming atmosphere in the hotel. They made you feel like you are not just a hotel guest, but an old friend.
They have quite a few rooms, but I was very surprised how quite it is when I was in the hotel, I rarely met other guests except during the breakfast time.
Speaking of breakfast, it was the best breakfast I've ever had during my past hotel stays. They make you feel like you were in a fine diner, the food was delicious with fine ingredient, and the staffs are so friendly.
I highly recommend The Vermont Inn to anyone who is thinking to go to Killington/ Rutland area, it is close to everything, and I am very sure you won't regret it!

We had a lovely stay at the Vermont Inn. The room was perfect for us and the breakfast was delicious. Both Emily and Michael were very helpful and friendly! We will definitely stay at the Vermont Inn again when we return!

Room tip: We were happy we chose "quiet" over view because of the highway. Our window looked out at the woods, a lovely view !

I cannot say enough about our hosts Emily and Michael although I could not meet Michael personally he helped me on the phone. Charming room. Well appointed. Diana gave us a tour that included sauna, hot tub, pool, beverage room and one of the most comfortable porches. The sky was the limit for the included country breakfast.

Joyce and Arthur,

I am happy to hear that you had a wonderful stay. I am sorry I did not get to meet you both, I was out of town visiting family. I do hope we can rectify that in the future. Please give us a call the next time your plans bring you to our area.
