This was the perfect fall getaway. The Red Clover Inn is down a little lane between Mendon and Killington,Vermont. Maggie was our primary innkeeper during our stay and attended to everything we needed. She directed us to a bicycle shop where we got excellent advice on the best mountain bike trails, a quaint General Store in Pittsville for lunch, and a Deer Leap hike to end our day. Carol, innkeeper and event planner, was full of ideas for our last day which included Plymouth Notch (Calvin Coolidge home place), Woodstock and Quechee Gorge (also saw Simon Pearce glassblowing and the dam.). We ended the afternoon with King Arthur Flour cafe in Norwich, then returned to the Red Clover Inn for a casual elegant dinner and live jazz band, the highlight of our trip!). The inn is beautiful and the rooms have everything needed for one's comfort. The breakfasts were delicious and beautifully plated. Maggie's cookies and Mendon apples were waiting for us in the afternoons to have with coffee or tea.We would love to vacation at this inn again.

Room Tip: We enjoyed the Lucy and Charlotte rooms.

LOVED this place, from the minute we arrived we could not have been treated better.Home made cookies and chilled water, tea after a long drive, nothing seemed to much.Period Inn,well appointed,we were offered a choice of rooms, for quietness, rear one was perfect and also a choice of old fashioned or more up to date plumbing, old did it for me.Great bed, smallish room, but clean and tidy.Nice touches.
Used the hotel restaurant, good staff, food excellent, service great, food reasonably priced, would have stayed longer, well manicured grounds. This place is exceptional.I liked the fact that with mesh and the the windows left open allowed good natural flow of air throughout the whole hotel and kept it cool.....

Room Tip: Rear right hand side hotel, great.

The Red Clover Inn has been a delight under several owners in the past, and the current owners have carried on the tradition of this beautiful first class Inn. The rooms are very nice in the Vermont tradition, quaint and comfortable, but the best is to be found down in the dining room. Meals are fantastic - worth the stay just for that. The staff are excellent and make your stay enjoyable and memorable.

My wife and I had a wonderful visit at this B&B located in the middle of splendor. We couldn't have asked for more. Their Restaurant served a magnificent dinner with a very entertaining jazz quartet. The rooms were comfortable and quaint having everything we needed. And breakfast couldn't have been better. Just everything, everything was perfect!

We were so happy to find this cozy inn during our family trip to VT. We had planned some rock climbing nearby in Rutland and wanted to stay somewhere that represented VT. We found it here. The rooms are lovely and the staff is incredibly friendly. Breakfast was delicious and the cookies in the afternoon were very welcome. My kids appreciated the games in the living room as well.
