We were driving to Lake Placid, NY and planned our lunch stop in Middlebury VT. Storm Cafe had an interesting lunch menu so gave them a try. The potato garlic soup was excellent and attractive presentation with the 1/2 sandwich I ordered. A great local beer selection it hit the spot. On the return trip we were passing through about 10;00 am and stopped in for breakfast I loved the French Toast.

Nice place, good food, very busy. The bar is minicule and the entire place is not all that big. Service was good and the food was very good. The forgot the cheese on my son's cheeseburger and quickly rectified the problem. Took the 2 year old grandchild and it was no problem at all. They seated a large group of older folks as we were leaving and again it looked like no problem. I was go back anytime.

The riverside restaurant is quaint, inviting, and the food is excellent and varied. We had a party of 10 and were served promptly and efficiently. There are no french fries on the menu or ketchup on the tables - this is a place with pizzazz and food that will stimulate your interest and your taste buds. The three half-an-half lunch combos are the way to go to sample multiple offerings. You can order any two of the following: half a soup, half a salad, or half a sandwich. I ordered half a Winter Salad which featured pears, nuts, bacon, cheese and greens and half a Duke Sandwich which featured applewood smoked bacon, tomatoes, melted cheese and a spicy chili dressing. They were both scrumptious.

They have a great selection of great tasting food. I really love the caesar salad which is served with a nice fresh warm roll. The deck outside is nice for viewing the local creek.

Stopped there for a late lunch. Was super excited that they still had a breakfast menu and that there was gluten free options. If you want a drink they also have great cocktail options.
