We'd looked at the very meat heavy menu prior to our visit to Middlebury, so as a vegan and a vegetarian, we hadn't planned to stop in, but we were near there with a guest at lunchtime and gave it a try. Interior is cozy to the point of being a bit cramped, especially with the low ceiling, but the staff were excellent, very friendly and efficient, and while there wasn't much for us on the menu, we had great salads and side dishes and were happy to see that they offer a vegan entree on their brunch menu. Came back the next day for brunch and had a splendid meal. The location by the water must be fantastic when the weather is nice. Recommended.

This place is tucked away on a one way lane off a main route in town, and we had to circle a bit to find it. Its riverside location is really nice and we would have enjoyed the deck had the weather been warmer. We were here for lunch but were pleased to find that breakfast food was still an option. Our omelette and French toast were delicious.

I ate here several times during the summer, and the deck setting near the river is great. The food is delicious and they make excellent cocktails.

We had lunch here, recommended by several locals and they were right! Farm to table goodness, simple foods that I felt good about eating. Choice of eating inside or on the patio. Loved it.

Located in a beautiful location downtown. We sat outdoors as it was a cool, fall morning. We had the chicken steak sandwich. I had mine with the ceasar salad and my husband had his with the tomato bisque soup (soup of the day). The sandwich was great - the chicken, peppers, and onions were cooked very well. The bread was crusty on the outside, but not overly crusty that you hurt your gums biting into it (you know what I'm talking about). There was a good amount of juice from the filling that soaked into the bread. Overall, it was a great sensory experience! My salad came with 4 anchovy fillets (a vital part of a good ceasar) and was well seasoned. The tomato basil bisque soup could use a little more seasoning, but it was light and tasty. We didn't have to wait long for the food, but we had to finally go to the counter to ask for our check as the waitress never came back after clearing our plates. Despite the frustrating end, we had a great meal and would not hesitate to return or to recommend it to others. Simple food done very well.
