“Great Baking Course”
Reviewed 22 January 2012

I went to the education center for a course on baking rye bread, and it was very good. The presentation was very good, all of the ingredients were prepared very well for us, and the class went very smoothly. Lots of time was given for Q&A, and the instructor was very knowledgeable. They not only help you learn recipes, but they also focus on teaching you technique. I definitely plan to head back soon for another class. Also, at the end of the class they give you a coupon which is good for discounts at the store for several weeks.

“Awesome store - great pies!”
Reviewed 20 January 2012

I ordered a dozen pies from King Arthur for our wedding in September. Even though I was the bride, I made sure to have a bite of each and they were fantastic.

While in the Upper Valley I went in to the Baker's store to check it out - it certainly has changed since I was little. It is a baker's dream. There is everything and anything you could possibly want. It's just fun to walk around.

“Bakers' Paradise”
Reviewed 6 January 2012

This place is the Holy Grail for bakers. The shop has everything you could want, the staff is well-informed and there's a great little bakery and coffee place if you want to sample the goodies. They are in the midst of a big expansion of the building, so more wonders to come!

“Worth the trip to Norwich”
Reviewed 4 January 2012

Norwich is 1.5 hrs drive south of Burlington. If you're a baker or would like to become one, this is the place to visit. If you can't in person, their website is phenomenal. Their customer service response is quick & very informative. You will quickly become part of their community. We had the pleasure of conversing with Anne, who was delightful & helpful. I spent at least 1.5 hrs in the store & picking up a snack to go. Lots of items to choose from...baking pans, mixes, flours, small appliances, kitchen gadgets etc.

“Many good products”
Reviewed 4 January 2012

There are so many good things about the Baker's Store. You can find things that are so difficult to find elsewhere. The baked goods are wonderful. Everything is high quality/well made. Unfortunately organization and service are quite spotty. Service if friendly but often inept and slow. Sticky buns run out by mid morning. Why? It is very hard to order things ahead of time, and difficult for them to find them when you do. If you phone, it is unclear whether you have reached the department you want, and calls that are transferred go to voicemail and are not returned, or do not get picked up. Prices are high but often worth it. Just don't expect quick or efficient service!
