A smallish restaurant with a good breakfast menu. Service was slow, maybe because she was working alone or was distracted. Food was good though.

We are traveling with our two special needs grandkids, ages 11 and 13. We were looking for a good place to get lunch for them. We stumbled upon the Pitney Diner and decided to stop. The entry was a little difficult for Paul tp manage, up a step and into a small, dark foyer. As he struggled getting in, a rude girl pushed out and almost knocked him over. The staff immediately came to the door to help him and actually picked him up to bring him inside. We were seated quickly and ordered a breakfast omelet for the boys to share. It came on two plates with homemade fried potatoes and rye toast. The boys quickly demolished the food which was excellent and fresh. As we prepared to leave and handed over our credit card, we were told that it was taken care of by the staff. It was an awesome act of kindness. They helped us exit and carried our coffee to our car. It is so nice to find a place that treats their customers so well and has great food too

Always good for breakfast and lunch. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. When in Putney a great place to dine.

This is a classic small-town diner offering basic, well-prepared food at moderate prices. The pancakes are fluffy and tasty, and they're very generous with the maple syrup (which probably isn't surprising, considering the location).
The coffee, unfortunately, is also classic American (meaning "dishwater"), but that's authentic too, and at least refills are free, so that you can get your caffeine fix if you drink enough of it.
Just beware of the opening times: they close mid-afternoon, so this is not a dinner option.

Nothing spectacular, just your average little American hole in the wall diner.

We had breakfast here on our east. Last trip. Very good food for a very reasonable price.

Stop in. You won't be disappointed
