We stayed for 3 nights in early October, during the foliage season. Beautiful settings outside, nice and cozy at night inside. Throw in some historical charm, a nice place. Good central location, Quechee Gorge, Simon Pearce, Wookstock, Billings Farm are close by. Short drive to Dartmouth College on the NH side. Easy day trip to northern VT, Stowe, Emerald Lake State Park.

Included breakfast was nice, the real treat was dinner. Their signature duck certainly lived up to the recommendation. Great food.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Upon checking out, we fought something in the room. The staff called us to inform us, and they mailed it back to us all the way to Texas, courtesy of Quechee In At Marshland Farm. Next time we come to Vermont, we will not hesitate to visit them again.

I have dined at the Quechee Inn for many years (and always had a delightful meal), but had never a reason to stay until this Christmas. Family members came from various parts of New England to enjoy some time with my 93 year old mother with mobility issues. I booked directly with the inn because I needed a room on the first floor and near the dining room for my mother. Because she is way under 5 feet tall, I also needed to know that the bed was accessible for her (not the very high beds that you would need a two-step stepstool to get in and out of bed). We only needed one night (many other B&B or inns required a two night minimum stay over Christmas. The Quechee Inn at Marshland Farms fit the bill. Maneuvering around a 92 year old with a walker was a bit unconventional, because there is no elevator, but very do-able. Well worth the effort to be able to stay in an old inn and have such a wonderful dinner. This inn boasts wide floorboards, antique furniture, comfy beds, some rooms with a fireplace. It was like staying in someone's colonial home----very homey, comfortable and relaxing. The staff was super helpful and so friendly. Dinner, as expected was absolutely wonderful. Filet mignon, salmon, duck and chicken were all great choices, superbly prepared and delicious. Relax in the tavern lounge with the fireplace going. The small but plentiful breakfast buffet had just about anything you could want. Hot choices of scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, pancakes, hot cereal, cold cereal, breads and bagels for toasting, yogurt and many juices to choose from--self serve except for juices, water and coffee. Our family has decided to do our get-togethers only at the Quechee Inn at Marshland Farm from here on. Great stay for reasonable rate. Many times I overheard staff talking with patrons about attractions and shopping in the area and giving recommendations of things to see and do. Again, all staff people are so friendly and super helpful.

Room Tip: Person with mobility issues- Room 23 has two queen beds, back entrance to dining room is only across the hall.

We decided to have a non traditional holiday and headed to Vermont. We were looking for a quaint place to stay that had a restaurant that would be open for Christmas dinner. Quechee Inn fit the bill. The king size room was fine for what we were looking for, the lounge area was very inviting, and the restaurant was wonderful? Another bonus was a full buffet breakfast was included.
The staff was wonderful. They were helpful it's fcommendatjons for places to see and directions, and we really appreciated them working on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day when they could have been sharing the holiday with their friends and families.
Can't wait to go back!

Room Tip: No elevators. the staff is very helpful with luggage and assisting guests.

We landed here after a day exploring Simon Pierce's glass shop and restaurant. The young lady operating the front desk and her manager were as warm as the fire they started later in the lobby lounge area. In classic style, she showed us to our room. The room featured a comfy king bed.The bathroom was smallish but sported adequate shelving for a dopp kit and contents (a missing feature from many older locations where I have lodged). We opted to stay on property for dinner. I was treated to a glorious filet mignon, solid salad and quality service. The dinning area has a refined homey feel and nice views of a pond if seated appropriately. I recommend walking across the street to walk the path to the bottom of Quechee gorge. While I nearly busted decending the narrow carpeted staircase with our luggage on departure, the ambiance of this hallway and the second floor porch I wanted to sit on but for the cold, all exude character, a much missing element of so many corporate hotels. Finally, the breakfast server regaled us with fun conversation while helping us get a great cooked meal and plenty from the small buffet. In an area with a decent portfolio of hotels, you won't regret this choice.

This was the home of the first lieutenant governor of Vermont. It is now a charming inn. The lobby bar area with a fireplace is a real treat. Lots of activities at the inn and nearby. Access to Quechee, Woodstock and Killington.
