Location of the Inn is excellent for both summer and winter fun

This fine old B&B is situated between Brattleboro and Historic Grafton. We have been fortunate to experience the Olde Farmhouse in both the summer and winter. Each visit was memorable, comfortable and fun.

Our first stay at the Olde Farmhouse was in May and the weather was fine. The inn provided a great location for excellent bicycling, dinners (Four Columns Inn), hiking (Jamaica or Townshend Parks) and gallery viewing (North Star Gallery in Grafton) nearby.

Our second stay was in March, with plenty of snow on the ground and excellent X-county skiing at nearby Grafton Ponds. Instruction, ski rental and beautiful groomed trails are all available at this lovely outdoor center. Instructors are great (Bill) and paths are beautiful.

The Inn accommodations

The Inn has only 5 rooms but each room is quite spacious and warm. The rooms are very well situated for families with children or groups traveling together.

The Innkeepers

The innkeepers, Ken and Christine, were exceptionally flexible and knowledgeable about the area. For example, they were quite flexible as to check in time, breakfast hour and choice of breakfast. They were always friendly and warm.

Hearty Breakfast
I think this was one of the things I liked best. Choice of the breakfast menu was pretty much up to us and planned the night before. Everything was homemade and plentiful. This would I imagine be a big plus for a family who is planning a full day skiing at Grafton Ponds as we were.

Price
Also, I felt the Inn was extremely good value.
