best breakfast in town but could keep the doors open - the red flannel hash and the cheese biscuit sammy were divine!

We stumbled on this wonderful find in one of the guidebooks and thought we would give it a shot. We also loved the idea that it was run by a local church...we are not religious, but it was not to think our proceeds would help out someone in some way. So being a church run cafe, how good could it be right? Well it is famtastic! Vermont artisan tea started off our breakfast of the Vermonter sandwich which was on a Multigrain bread from a local bakery, eggs, Vermont cheddar, carmelized onions, apple, fresh bacon and honey dijon sauce. It was gourmet heaven..not at all expected. My husband had the Crunchmaster which has about 18 ingredients listed on the menu! The waitress got a glint in her eye when he ordered it and we know why...it's huge! And it was another unexpected delicious Mexican flavored breakfast treat. The best part was the waitress took a picture when he was done eating it because she couldn't believe he finished it! Friendly staff, quaint atmosphere and delicious food...perfect Vermont breakfast.....did I mention we are coming back tomorrow? :)

We've been waiting our breakfast for about 1 ½ hour. We needed to order 2 times because they didn't get it the 1st time. The coofee machine was broken so we waited 45 minutes for ou house coffee. The food was awefull. We'll never come back for sure.

Service was incredibly slow and it's clear the staff lack any kind of formal training in table management. We were a group of 5 who had a group of 5 come in behind us. They got seated after us yet their order was taken and served well before ours. After a 45 min wait for our food one of the members in our group had to wait an additional 5 mins for her plate to arrive after ours. No apology or even acknowledgement of slow service. Food was ok but it was obvious some of the items were sitting around awhile before being served. Avoid this place when it's busy or you're on a schedule.
