You can gather your own pastries or an employee will happily help you. We got a croissant, two almond croissants, a blueberry danish, a raspberry danish, an apple turnover and a spinach and feta croissant. Everything was delicious! The croissants could be a bit lighter, but still very tasty. The almond croissants are incredible. And I loved the raspberry danish. The spinach and feta croissant was good but a bit heavy on the stomach. We will definitely go back. I want to try their giant cookies. I do wish they were open on Sundays though.

This is a real bread bakery, the like of which is hard to find in Virginia. You can also get some pastries, etc. But the place is really all about the bread. They have a few tables so you can have a seat for coffee and a brownie, but ignore the bread and you will be sorry. This is not that marshmallow soft supermarket white bread, this stuff is serious.

Visiting the Air and Space Museum and looked up this bakery on a whim. It's hidden in what appears to be an industrial park and what a surprise.

The staff was very friendly. When asked for something that wasn't on display, they had them in the back. We also asked for pies that just came out of the oven and they accommodated.

We got a chocolate cake, pound cake, and pies. All were very good and fresh! Wish we got more.

It's a bit of a bizarre location, kind of hidden back in the industrial park area, but seek it out. The rack of breads as you walk in draws you right to it to check out all the neat flavors. The prices will blow you away, huge loaves for just $2.50, or an entire tray of focaccia for just $2.50 - wow! They have excellent croissants, lots of varieties, and some huge cookies that were also excellent. Not much for sandwiches at lunch, but if you are looking for bread or cakes or cookies - this place is a winner.

Totally wonderful croissants...such a treat...light and flakey. This place is indeed a hidden gem that must be visited.
