Very pleasant stay. Courteous staff, nice surprise late afternoon/early evening snacks and comfortable accommodations. Convenient location to commercial areas and downtown Charlottesville. Would definitely stay here again.

My wife and I stayed at the Hampton Inn Charlottesville last weekend and enjoyed our stay from beginning to end. The front desk clerk was busy when I entered but greeted me and apologized for what was a brief delay - much better that some staff that just ignore you until they are (good and!) ready. The check in was quick and efficient, and when I asked about nearby restaurants (there are a ton) the clerk took the time to bring out a map and list of locations. When I mentioned I might cross the busy road next door to get to a favorite, however, he was quick to warn me off (in spite of the traffic light) and instead offered to shuttle my wife and I over (we drove instead).
The queen room more than met our needs but I must say the layout was odd. The bathroom entry door faced the bedroom rather that the usual entry corridor (a small issue with privacy and night lights) and there was no coat closet - instead a drape was drawn across one wall and you pulled it back to reveal some hangers parallel to the wall. What?
These oddities aside we enjoyed the staff, the rest, and the breakfast - we'll be back.
Had a good sleep last night but when I entered the room I felt very cramped. Looks to be a newer property very clean elevator in the foyer. I would return. Close to a number good venues. Helpful staff with a pleasant smile
It looked clean and new but recently remodeled. Rooms were nice and clean. However, the elevators were right inside the sliding doors so you didn’t even need to go through the lobby. Also, the breakfast was not as good as most Hampton Inns we stay at. I would stay again but a little disappointed.
I've traveled much in the past 2 years, and although this was one of the smallest rooms I've stayed in, the hotel and staff was one of the best. Rooms were cleaned, staff was attentive. If I go back to the Charlottesville, VA area, I will stay here again
My daughter and I stayed here because she had a very early flight out of the Charlottesville airport. I am very picky and the reviews were pretty good for this hotel. The staff were very friendly and polite. The location was great. Easy to get to and near great restaurants and shopping if you have time. I would have given it a 5-Star rating except that I did not like the location of the elevators! They are right inside the first set of double doors before you get to lobby! I just feel like anyone could walk right in off the street and head up to guest rooms. It is hard for staff to monitor them and it made me nervous! I think you should have to walk past the front desk to reach the elevators or at least use your room key to use elevators. I just felt like our safety was compromised! The rooms were also small but very clean and modern!
