I stayed at this property while in town for work events around the region. Given the price point, I have little complaints – the room was clean, the towels fluffy, the internet speeds acceptable. The lightly-sandalwood-scented toiletries were a nice touch (a word of caution if you need hypo-allergenic soaps and the like); the in-room hair dryer had three speeds and a ‘cool’ button (which you have to hold down the same time as the main button – a little awkward) and the room came fully equipped with a coffeemaker, microwave, and mini-fridge.
The lobby had hot coffee and hot water for three different upscale tea selections. There is an indoor pool and whirlpool (which I did not use) and a breakfast buffet with waffles (which I also did not use). The front desk staff was friendly, professional, and helpful.
You will see a bit of wear and tear if you’re looking for it, but nothing that impacts hygiene, in my opinion. My only quibble is that the wall HVAC seemed to really struggle to maintain a relatively low temperature setting on a seasonably cold night – turning on and off with enough frequency that it may disturb lighter sleepers.
The hotel is well positioned for several dining options nearby (not necessarily walkable but a short drive). If I have cause to stay in Charlottesville again, I would certainly consider returning.More
