We stayed in this house with family and friends during pony penning week. We arrived on a Sunday to find the house extremely dirty. Not all of the outlets worked, there were extension cords stretched out in the bedrooms to plug in the window ac units, only two smoke alarms in the house which did not appear to be working, doors blocked by beds, and other situations that made me fearful of a house fire. The entire house is in horrible disrepair and the appliances and furniture are decades and decades old. The rental company offered to send a cleaning service, but honestly what this house needs is to be bulldozed and rebuilt. One of the closets had multiple exposed nails (apparently they ripped out the carpet but didn't replace it). A door was off its hinge and stuck in place. In short, the house is appalling and should be condemned.
We stayed here with two families during pony penning at the end of July. This is an old fashioned house, but it has LOTS of room. It was fairly clean, maybe just a little dusty. We had the master bedroom with the attached bathroom and it was very comfortable. We loved sitting on the porch in the mornings with our coffee, checking emails. The house does have Wi-Fi, which some of the antique houses don't have. You can walk to my favorite restaurant, Bill's, and although it is on the main street, we did not mind the cars driving by at all. It is in a great location, central to everything. There was a beautiful huge dining room if you have a large party. The best part was that it is pet friendly and I brought my two dogs. I have wonderful memories here and I would definitely book this house again.
