We are pony fans with family in tow - young ones and old ones. This diner meets everyone's needs for any meal. Lots of variety. Waitresses are professional and appropriately friendly. We visited several times last year on a week long beach vacation (pony penning week - biggest week of summer for this island) and now, over a year later and my impression and experience was consistent.

Stopped in for lunch at the diner. It is inexpensive and quick. The burger was huge! My wife got the Reuben Burger. Lots of meat but the sour kraut doesn't really go with beef--at least, not in a burger situation.

I ordered breakfast and asked about the corn beef hash. The waitress was honest and said it wasn't home made. I had it anyway. Yep, it was the Dinty Moore type.

Can't really complain. This is a no-frills kind of place with a diner style menu. Prices are good. Service is quick. Ambiance leaves a little something to be desired, but, hey, you get what you pay for!

Went there on a Sunday Morning around 10AM. Didn't have to wait in line and was seated in a few minutes when the hostess returned from seating others. Ordered our breakfast (as opposed to a buffet being offered as it seemed most people were doing). Breakfast came reasonably fast. The food was good but nothing special but from that point on the service was marginal. The waitress never came back to check on us I had to wave my empty coffee cup to get her attention to get a second cup of coffee. This despite that the waitress servicing the adjacent table was filling the cups of the adjacent table when I was holding my cup up and didn't fill mine. Then we waited at least 15 minutes after finishing while watching the hostess looking for tables to seat people looking for our check. The waitress finally came and brought us the check and gave a quick apology and left. We went up to the register only to encounter a customer complaining to the hostess about being seated and no waitress coming to his table. Then two waitress got into the mix arguing in front of that customer and us about who was supposed to take care of that table. Part of the problem is half the restaurant is inside and the other half is outside in a screened in area and the waitresses are assigned tables all over the place including inside and outside which works against them keeping an eye on their tables. This place could be so much better with proper management and waitresses that cared about the business.

We visited this restaurant twice during our latest visit. Once was for breakfast. Service was fast and friendly. French toast and pancakes were terrific. Our second visit was for lunch. Again, service was quick and friendly. BLT sandwich was fresh and tasty. Grilled cheese was homestyle and perfect. Bar also available. We enjoyed the very casual atmosphere where locals mix with tourists and conversation is easy. Nice, welcoming environment. Closes early (3pm) in off-season.
