Chincoteague Inn

An older hotel; but very affordable so we picked it and we were very pleasantly surprised. The room was very large and extremely clean. The bed was very comfortable (another usual problem with older hotels). As said before, the staff was really helpful and pleasant. The pool was clean and was big enough. The hotel was very conveniently located. The only problem was that the banister going up the stairs was very sticky and dirty. I did say something to the staff but I don't think anything was done about it. As an older woman, I need to hold onto a banister going up and down the stairs, and that part of the hotel was really icky. And talking about stairs, the shlep to the third floor was hard. Ask for a room on the first or second floor.

Room Tip: Long flight of stairs to the third floor; stay on first or second.

We stayed here for a night mostly because I don't like to spend a fortune on hotel rooms when I'm staying for a night. The room was very clean, and I like the vintage Chincoteague and Assateague pics on the wall. The staff recommended an excellent restaurant for the evening and provided directions. The only thing strange was the toilet was little and very low to the ground. If you are not up to spending $150-$250 a night and you don't camp, this is the place,

We wanted a simple, affordable, and well rated place to stay for "Pony Week." Could not have asked for a nicer place. Clean room, very nice and helpful staff, close to to both the Center of town and Assateague Island.
Simple room - like a classic motel - never the less had new charger outlets, decent Wi-Fi and a nice TV with satellite.
Being updated in a planned fashion
And the best part - shuttle bus to the "Pony Swim" right on the corner.

Room Tip: Back side, upstairs (2nd floor) quietest

Booked the Inn for the 2017 pony swim. While the prices were inflated for the event, it was still the most reasonable option in town. All of our needs were met. We locked our key in the room TWICE and each time the staff was gracious about it.

I've been coming to the Island over 15 yrs now and this was my first time staying here .
Some of the pluses the pool, comfortable beds, spacious rooms, plenty of parking, the housekeeping staff, rooms looked semi remodeled , cold a/c.
Now the negatives , poor internet connection , thin walls between floors .
I would def stay here again and use their services . Thanks for a great 4 nights .
