I was so excited to see someone seemed to be taking the time to fix the run down place.
They missed the whole summer season working on it.
We show up at about 12:30 and the sign says closed outside.
We had to find someone that works there hanging around outside to find out that someone forgot to turn the sign around.
Go to pull the door open and the handle is loose (it's a boat cleat, not a knob).
Look around and there's a panel box next to the door and it's open.
There's a 911 sign sitting inside leaning against the wall.
Keep in mind this is a small place and has been being worked on for about a year.
It's clean but looked like a generic cereal box on the inside.
We walk in and there's no one that works there in sight, so we take a seat anyway
Waitress shows up to take our order, then has to stop while someone hands her a hand printed list of the specials, come on now, it's now 1:00 PM why was the specials handed to them long before this?
I ordered the fish and chips and a bowl of clam chowder, the other guest ordered a pulled pork Quesadiia.
Anyone ever heard of fish and chips coming with potato chips, well that's what I got.
Fish was undercooked, there was no flaking, just raw tasting fish.
Clam chowder tasted more like potato soup, clams that were in it were so tough I could not chew them.
Over $30.00 for a lunch with just iced tea and water to drink.
Guess I'll go someplace else next time.
It's shame that when someone from out of town ask me for a good place to eat the first question I ask them is how much gas do you have in your car.
