Mazadar is a friendly local restaurant with a unique atmosphere and solid food. The kabobs are good and the vegetarian dishes even better. The mantu (meat dumplings) is awesome. Love the eggplant and squash as well. Bread is huge and delicious.

The food is not that great. There is much better Afghan food elsewhere. Food was kind of cold and the portions are not that big.

We reserved a table for a post-graduation lunch and selected one of the house menus. Although we were a bit early (we arrived just as the restaurant opened), they seated us and began bringing our appetizers and fresh bread. The food continued to come as we celebrated our big event. We had a wonderful experience. They service was excellent!

Mazadar was located in a small strip mall near Fair Oaks mall. You will be amazed by the ambience. The server was helpful and suggested some food for us. The food we ordered was very good but the quantity was on the small side despite the expense. My suggestion cut prices a bit or make the dishes larger. This was a four star and more likely a three star place due to the expense.

I love ethnic food ---- but wouldn't choose to go here again. Ambiance and service were excellent. Food was bland and weird textured. I had the falafel platter. 6 small falafel in a bed of hummus. That's it. More an app than an entree. My guest had the chicken. It was just chicken and rice.
