Arbol de Vida is a delightful place to visit. The owners have lovingly restored and whimsically redecorated an old colonial building. The lunches are perfect and low priced. The cuisine could rightly be called Ecuadorian Fusion, as it is a mixture of many different styles with a solid Ecuadorian base. The Arbol has become a lunch destination for many students and teachers from nearby Yachay college, the City of Knowledge, which is highly recommended as a place to visit, especially the extensive botanical gardens. And to top it off, Sarah, an ex-peace corp volunteer from years ago, and her Ecuadorian husband are the perfect hosts. They make you feel like you are coming home for lunch.
