Small Country Campground

Our kids loved this place. The putt putt was very nice and they has great lake toys. There is a lot of traffic through the campsite so if you have little kids you should be very careful. It is also very dusty. The RV sites in the section we were in were very small. We could not put out our awning. We were at a site with full hook ups but we did not hook up sewer as we only stayed two nights. Right before we were about to leave sewage starting pouring out of the site night to ours and running across our site. It was disgusting!!!! I'm so glad we were leaving because it would have gotten on our things if we has not been packed. We alerted the office. Not sure what kind of clean up they do on the sites after sewage spills. One of our kids threw up before we could leave. Too bad because they wanted to go back, but not after what we saw.

What a nice place! We stayed in a rental camper which was clean and accommodating. Too bad our kids are grown, they would have loved the things to do at the lake, the mini golf and playground. A peaceful setting for much needed r&r.

Enjoy small country camground. In process of adding campsites. Nice addition but frustrating that only 1 bath house has usable showers- not close to the campsite we enjoy. Hopefully the issue will be resolved soon - since the summer - season is almost over !
Next visit we might even try the pool

About 10 miles from the nearest Walmart, gas station and McDonalds sits a little gem hidden by trees and winding roads. The Small Country Campground is a very pleasant place to camp, hold festivals, play chess (on a big board), do a round of putt-putt golf, swim (in a lake or a pool), lie on the beach, listen to tree frogs, and relax.

Along with the cabins to rent, and places to park your RVs and cars, there are tent areas with electricity you can plug in if you just want to rough it with your TV. There is a small convenience store, bathrooms with a shower, and various bouncy things to keep your children occupied. Would recommend!

Enjoyed staying the night in one of their cabins. Two of their cabins do not have bathrooms, and I stayed in one of them. I recommend you reserve a cabin WITH a bathroom, as the public bathrooms at the campground leave much to be desired. Other than that, the staff is friendly, and the mini-golf course is very good.
