My husband and I visited for breakfast. We entered the restaurant. It was one room with a dozen or so tables. There was a doorway into the kitchen and a counter area. You had to go outside to use the restrooms - the restrooms were indoors, but you had to go outside to get to them. There were two tables occupied when we got there. There was one waitress that did everything - waited the tables, cleared the tables, and cashiered. She brought us menus and took our drink order. The coffee and hot tea were piping hot. She then took our orders. Everything cost extra. If you ordered oatmeal and wanted a dash of milk to go with it, the milk was an extra 79 cents. Raisins were extra. If you ordered an omelet, the home fries cost extra. Not sure if the toast was included or if that cost extra too. Between the two of us, we got two omelets with toast and home fries and the two drinks. Our total bill before tip was $24+. I thought - whoa, this is a rural area and the other restaurants we frequent are usually around $16 for the same thing. The omelets were good. The wheat toast was excellent. The home fries were mushy - would have liked them firmer and crusty. When she had nothing to do, the waitress sat at one of the tables and read the newspaper. So, to sum it up, the food was fine, but we won't be returning because of the pricing.
