Am here with a tour group from Singapore. It is much better if you can have a staff to follow you throughout to help explain the history of Genghis Khan and his life's accomplishments.
There is much walking and not advisable for those with weak knees or heart.
The venue is filled with many stories, drawings and antiques left from the Mongolian dynasty (actually known as Yuan dynasty). If you are an avid fan of the great Genghis Khan who expanded his territory as far as Europe and Middle East, this is the place to know him better.

Worth visiting and worthwhile to hire a guide to take you through the history of Genghis Khan and the museum.

We traveled from Baotou to the Mausoleum with a short visit to the City of Ordos. The place is historical and quiet significant to the Mongolian. We paid the extra $150 RMB for the guide, which she gave a detailed description of the site and historical significance of the mausoleum. The entrance fee is $150RMB per person; you will have access to all areas. All employees in this park is of Mongolian descent and spoke both Mandarin and Mongolian. In the vicinity of the park you could ride the Mongolian horse or camel. I was impressed of the fact that the guardian of the mausoleum is actually the descendants of a Mongolian general and they have been guarding the site for nearly 800 years.

Awesome place and a must see historical attraction in northern China! The walking grounds are amazing and beautiful. It was incredible to see and get up close to the "Holy Horses," which are the direct descendants of Genghis Khan's horses.

It was good to see and hear stories of Genghis khan but I was disappointed that I could not take photographs inside the Mausoleum but worth a visit.
