I'm not sure how you can balance the two--the hotel staff was accommodating and let us leave our stuff there during the day when we weren't staying the night, but all of us that stayed at Hotel Oasis got flea bites. I'm not sure of a better option, though.

The common room is nice and comfortable but the dorm rooms were dark and the light switches were in really awkward locations.

my skin still suffers by the bedbug-bites I've got in the "Oasis". I met 2 other people in the hotel next door with the same marks, they were bitten in the "Oasis" as well. All the hotel said was: we will have a look. Aditionally: staff of hotel wre unfriendly & unhelpful. So my advice: di not go there, there plenty other places, check the "Amigos", no pool but great breakfast

Hostel sheets have blood on them and theyre completely unable to offer an alternative - it took a while to get them to offer to swap them but when they did, they were worse. Blod on sheets isw bad enough but the bugs that cause it are worse! Staff were miserable and unhelpful and the whole plavçe lacked atmosphere. not impressed at all

The staff were miserable when we arrived. Our private room (A5) was hot, humid, and cramped. My friend's bed had massive bed bugs crawling all over the sheets. We informed the staff and they were not too bothered by the situation, did not even apologise and eventually we were able to move to another room. The second room (S1) was even smaller!

Staff were extremely unhelpful when we encountered several problems during our stay, even our native Spanish speaker friend felt they had an attitude problem.

However good Internet access, although computers automatically delete all files and these are not held in the recycle bin.

The pool is quite acidic and painful after about 15mins to most skin types.

Fruit plate breakfast was good value.

I stayed here 3 times during a trip to Nicaragua. I stayed in the dorms, a private room with A/C and private bathroom, and in a private room with a fan and no private bath. All of the accommodations were clean, nice, and comfortable. The dorms were the nicest I have stayed in anywhere in the world. They are 2 large rooms with very high ceilings and many bunk beds and lockers. They are clean and comfortable.

The pool is small, but refreshing. The lounge/patio areas are very relaxing. It was a great place to stay and I recommend it to everyone aside from families with young children or couples wanting a romantic private hotel.
