I was so glad to come across Casa Cubana boutique hotel in Granada, Nicaragua. It is a really elegant hotel that seems to get the combination right of home comfort and understated luxury, with a lot of old world colonial style . The place is clearly loved and cared for by the host, Amanda. She is fun and vivacious and even a trained chef, so the breakfasts were delious! She is a true professional and knows the area well, so helped me to plan my activities and site seeing. It was fun to chat to Gloria, the rescue bird!. The rooms are very spacious with high ceilings. I stayed in the Safrron room which is on the first floor and oerlooks the pool, even with a view of the volcanic island of Ometepe. My bed was very grand, a gold painted, hand made iron canopy bed - bliss!. Thank you for all your care and attention Amanada, it was a real pleaure to meet you and stay in a truely wonderful hotel. I plan to return one day . Fiona Tyndall ( England)

I found out about this great little treasure through a woman I met on a tour. She described this lovely little boutique hotel located by the old hospital.
After deciding to stay an extra night in Granada, we booked here, and it was by far the best part of our trip! We stayed in the Ginger suite, named after their first guest, Ginger!
Amanda, Lesley and Uli went above and beyond the call of duty to make us feel at home in this luxurious home! Our FAB room had a flatscreen TV, a mezzanine with a comfy Queen size bed, an incredible bathroom with beautiful tile, and a super shower.
The Breakfast was amazing. We had Eggs Benedict with bacon and spinach, and they gave a great recommendation for a super spot for dinner.
I felt so welcome here and its a quiet oasis in granada. The best sleep we've had, since its not directly in the center of town.
Thanks for everything! We will definitely return!
