The location of the hotel is a couple of streets down from the ski lifts. The hotel has a good storage for skis and ski boot dryers. This means that every morning starts with a heavy ski carrying exercise. Not bad but not optimal.

Our 5th floor room was for 4 guests. The room was facing away from the street. The room was not big for 2 adults and 2 children, but pretty clean and quite comfortable.

My stay in Reineke was a family ski vacation. It would have been great if the room would have had better facilities for drying clothes and a fridge for ski day picnic food.

The hotel could improve their after sales communication: I had a special request to the hotel, and tried contacting them twice in advance. Directly via email and sending a note via travel agency. They had received my message but did not respond. Responding is a small but important thing.

We had a package with meals included. The hotel billed extra even for tap water. This felt odd.

The room in Reineke was ok and Reineke's food was ok too. Poor communication and silly extra charges made the experience less than perfect.

I shared a double-bed room with my girlfriend in July 2015. The room was small but clean and cosy. There was a balcony with a picturesque view to the valley and mountains behind it. The hotel is well located in the center of the village. However, in order to walk to the railway station and supermarket, climbing a steep footpath is required.

Dear JuniperBerry74,

thank you for your comment on Tripadvisor.

It is good to hear, that you enjoyed your Holidays at Ski Lodge Reineke.
It is right, that you have to reach the railway Station or Supermarket after climbing a little hill, but than you don´t need a Fitness Center after.
For all guests they dont want to reach the railstation with climbing, we have also a lift at Salzburger Hof and here is no effort to arrive the railstation.,

Looking Forward to welcome you soon again!

Kind regards

Centrally located with clean rooms and amenities. Rooms very warm and in spite of turning radiators down had to sleep with windows open and thereby noticing the returning revellers at 3.00 am... Also no tea and coffee facilities in rooms nor in lobby.
No common area for guests to socialize - lobby consists of a stairway, bar closed except for dining times. Dietary requests kind of catered to - lactose free milk and yoghurt for breakfast, at dinners the lactose ingredient was often omitted instead of substituted making for a fairly dry meal...
As a place to sleep and eat it is generally very functional, to socialize and enjoying the company of others it is lacking.

Room Tip: quieter (and better view) with rooms facing away from street

We (2 adults + 2 teenagers) stayed here for a week in February 2013 and had a large familyroom 6-7 people with a lot of wardrobes, hangers and hooks for all our equipment and skiclothes = Perfect! We had a large master bedroom and then another large room for our sons so there were plenty of space for all of us. There were 2 showers and a double sink so we never had to wait long for each other in the large bathroom :) Location is good and the uphill walking in the mornings to Stubnerkogel was a good start to warm up and wake your body and muscles. We rented ski and ski boots storage just by the cable car so we didn't have to carry our equipment everyday - it was worth every cent!!! We had halfboard and was very pleased with the breakfastbuffet and wasn't once disappointed about dinner. It was delicious every night! The prices for bevarages in the restaurant and also in their bar was very fair. After a full day of outdoor activities all 4 of us fell asleep early in the very comfortable beds with wonderful duvets and pillows. Our rooms was at the back of the hotel so we were not disturbed by the bars outside. Staff was very good and helpful.

Dear Mrs. Marie H: thank you very much for your nice review.
The Reineke *** Superior Ski Lodge offers not only a stylish ambience in a sophisticated atmosphere, but also lies in close proximity (300 m) to the Stubnerkogel lift in the centre of Bad Gastein. Following a long day of active skiing, relax and enjoy the completely renovated ski lodge. Pamper yourself with culinary delights in our hotel restaurant or with a fine selection of domestic and international wines in the Flying Fox wine bar on the ground floor.
For secure storage of your sports equipment, we have a room available for the safekeeping of skis and ski boots or you can take a Ski depot directly next to the Stubnerkogel Ski station.
We have in our Ski Lodge Reineke DUX beds and it is great to hear that you slept well. After a good night, the next ski day can come.
Further we want to say thank you for your nice words about our services. We will transmit this to our team.
Mrs. Marie H we are looking forward to welcome you next year again.
Kind regards

We had extremely nice week end of march 2013 in Bad Gastein. Hotel was small and charmy! One of the best things what we had was half boad evening meals. Food quality and service was absolutely great. Breakfast was quite small, but you could find some energy for the day from the buffet! Hotel is also very close of "after ski" places like Silver Bullet and hotel Salzburger hof. Couple negative issues were sound proof in rooms. We had large 7 bed, 2 bed room combination, room was huge and has a nice view, but some noice came from outside to the room. Also walking distance to ski area is short, but there is a big hill to climb. If you want to pass this climbing you can also use hotel salzburger hoff elevator to pass worst climbing.
Overall this hotel was perfect place to stay for ski vacation!

Room Tip: If you are travelling with large group ask there family room 181, which suppose to be largest room!
