Do not recommend staying here. ad stayed here before and was treated respectfully. Came through on way to funeral and was over charged in August 2017. Have tried for 3 months to get my money back but they have admitted I was over charged but not interested in refunding my money.

This place is a great cavern. The staff are friendly and have a wealth of knowledge. Save your money and stop here instead of the other one.

Endless Caverns was the first of two caverns we visited while in the Shenandoah area. We LOVED it! Many people will prefer the Luray Caverns because they are so much more grand in scale, but for us, the commercialism and touristy feel of those caverns was a BIG turnoff. (Look for my review of Luray Caverns separately on Trip Advisor.) We arrived at Endless Caverns around 11:40am on a Thursday morning and walked right up to the counter to buy our tickets for the cavern tour. The clerk told us the tour would be starting at noon. We looked around the very small "gift shop" area (which appears almost like an afterthought, which is so rare for so many tourist attractions) for a few minutes and then decided to wait out on the front porch area which had a lot of benches on which to sit and enjoy the view of the surrounding rural area.

Promptly at noon, our tour guide (Jake) gathered everyone together for the tour. There were only six of us, which made for a nice intimate gathering and a more personalized-feeling tour. Jake was informative, friendly, funny and extremely accommodating for questions and picture taking. I was able to take many photos of the caverns and did not feel like I was being rushed along at all. Toward the end of the tour, there's a large area that is perfect for pictures and Jake volunteered to take photos of anyone who might want one (with our own cameras, versus them trying to rake you over the coals for a photo you have to pay for).

The tour lasted about an hour and twenty minutes. There are restrooms in the main building but none in the caverns, so be sure to "go" before your tour. The caverns themselves had many interesting formations and stories (loved the "ballroom" and "Santa's Sleigh"!). Give Endless Caverns a try. They felt more "real" and less gimmicky than Luray.

We arrived too late for a cavern tour but the office staff were extremely pleasant and welcoming. Staff lead each incoming camper to their site and come back to check if you are having any issues setting up camp. The facilities are well maintained and the setting at the foot of a hill is quite picturesque. The camping sites themselves are large with more than adequate space between sites.

Our family always loves to take the tour. It’s not commercialized therefore it is a great tour! Watch your step and your head :0)
