We have been a regular visitor of this restaurant for many years and are delighted that it has reopened. The evening went well. The food was as good as always. A new menu provided some interesting choices which we all enjoyed. This restaurant is one of the jewels of Ste Vaast and despite the previous owner's mixed reviews he always managed to maintain a full house. This was because he attracted a loyal group of customers who were prepared to pay slightly more for his brand of fine dining. On the whole we felt that some of the cosmetic changes did not add value. Not that we don't like change but change for its own sake is pointless. Better to leave everything as it was until you have found your feet. In our view if this restaurant is going to continue to thrive then the new owner is going to have to create something of herself that is different and valuable. In the mean time, ensuring customers feel valued by talking to them, getting to know them and remembering them is a great way of building loyalty.

We visited on a Monday evening and the restaurant was busy with most tables occupied. We chose the 26 euro menu and mostly all chose something different. Not one of us were disappointed as the food was well cooked and well presented. It would have been nice to have a decent house wine by the carafe available as the wine list was somewhat pricey but overall the whole dining experience was good and we thanked the new lady patronne. I hope it goes well because it is always a gamble taking over an existing successful business.....but the initial signs are all promising! More front of house presence would not go amiss.

The people we are doing a home exchange with recommended this restaurant.
We usually call for reservations, but didn't this time.
The sign on the door said that after 25 years the owners have decided to retire, but a new team will be taking over soon.
After reading some of the great reviews we were sorry to have missed the experience of dining here.
Perhaps the new team will continue the tradition when they reopen. 23 August 2016

A smallish, cosy restaurant clearly popular with the yachting fraternity, fairly full even in late November. We had the 25 euro menu. All dishes were clearly home made, fresh and tasty. I didn't know what to expect fron "stuffed shellfish" but reckoned I'd probably enjoy whatever arrived. It turned out to be something simple but delicious - 6 oyster shells embedded in salt, 3 containing mussels, 2 prawns and 1 an oyster, cooked with garlic butter, herbs and breadcrumbs. Memorable! The salmon main course held no surprises, but was beautifully cooked. The apple and cinnamon gratin was not quite what I'd pictured - much better - with thinly sliced apples under a crispy topping. A decent bottle of muscadet, and water brought without asking. Service was friendly and efficient. Nothing at all to find fault with. Thank you
