We loved it here! The owners, Rosa and Michele, are wonderful people, they made us feeling very welcome and they helped us as much as they could with directions/recommendations. For 20 euro per person they also offer to cook dinner for you, with plenty of local food and wine so do not miss this, it's a real experience!! The trullo is very nice and about 5 minutes driving distance to the town centre.
We hadn't realised the trulli was located out of town but only a 5 min drive. Accommodation rustic and clean. Sit down bath brought back memories of being bathed in a Belfast sink. Breakfast in the courtyard was more than enough and the evening meal served under the stars was a banquet to behold with home pressed wine included in abundance. Beware anyone over 5'4" has to remember to duck going to and from the kitchen.

Although the hosts were nice people, we had a very uncomfortable experience when we stayed here for 3 nights in mid April. When the door to the Trulli was opened there was an extremely strong mildewy odor that didn't dissipate in all the time we spent there. It was sickening. The only room with a heat source was the bedroom-main room. We couldn't spend time in the kitchen or take a "shower" because it was so terribly cold even wearing warm clothing. There isn't a shower but a short tub with a shower wand so there was no way to heat the bathroom enough to comfortably bathe. Another small point, there is no place to hang clothing. We also felt the yard was shabby. We did look at another Trulli while in town & that had no bad odor so it's not intrinsic to this type of dwelling. We did appreciate the nice breakfast that was brought to us each morning.

Rosa and her husband Michell were the loveliest hosts ever. Even though they could not speak English we managed to communicate using google translate. Rosa is truelly rosy! Her cooking is supreme! We ate so much we felt like we would explode. Everything is made fresh from their home garden. Felt like we were staying with an Italian grandmother for sure. We would come home in the afternoon and were always offered fresh made gelato, one day even with grappa. The trulli we stayed in was authentic, not freshly built for tourists. Felt like we had gone back in time. We even had our own kitchen. We got lost trying to find Rosa's and she and her husband came and picked us up. She also made reservations for us at Grotta Palazzese. That was magnificent and another review. Two things you should know though is that there is no Wi-Fi, though you are welcome to use Rosa's computer. The other thing is do not expect to take two showers or bath's in a row( if you are a couple). The hot water only lasts long enough for one. Then you need to wait maybe an hour for the other one.

We stayed in this Trullo in Alberobello on Agoust and we felt in love with the atmosphere and the wonderful owner Rosa and Michele.
Alberobello is an original town to visit and the trullo Casa di Rosa is perfect to stay. There we ate some Puglia's specialities cooked by Rosa...very very good!
The trullo has all the things that you need in a relaxing space.
When we will return in Alberobello we will surely go to Rosa and Michele!!!
