This is a wonderful place to stay in. It has a great location and you can visit so many places all around it - whether it is the lovely cities of Florence, Pisa, Arezzo, or Siena, (all within one hour drive or less) or smaller places such as the Chianti area or mountainous Vallombrosa. You wake up to wonderful views of endless hills of vineyards and can experience great sunsets. We took day trips to the mentioned places and in the afternoon relaxed in the swimming pool. This is particularly important for kids after long hours of sightseeing. It is close to several supermarkets where you can get all that Italy has to offer. The place itself is a wine and olive oil producer and in the evenings, you can always enjoy a good glass of Chianti, whether the aged Ser Ristoro, Chianti Donna Claudia riserva, or the light whites. We took part with pleasure in a great learning experience of wine tasting that the owners/wine producers provide. If you like cooking, the place has everything, including a grill that you can use for some really nice meat grills. The owner, Simone, is a friendly and helpful host who has all the information you need: from places to visit, places to eat, and any other information you need, including about wines and olive oil. The place also offers free parking and wifi. If you need to use it, there is also a washing machine. It is a place that makes you want to go back.

Room Tip: Pick one of the second floor rooms if you can. The Verdicchio apartment was fabulous.

The views are stunning. The accommodation is clean and comfortable. The owner Simone is really friendly and helpful. The setting of the pool area is really beautiful. Lots to see within a short drive. I think a car is essential.

We had a beautiful week long stay at Borgo Di Casagrande. Simone and his family really do make every effort to ensure your stay is perfect. Our children especially loved playing with the owner's children and enjoyed the stunning gardens to run and play for hours. The wine is delightful and the views are unrivaled. We booked a chef one of the days, which was a lovely treat. She was fabulous with the children and it was a great experience for them to cook such a wonderful Italian meal together. Our Tuscany trip will forever be one of our favorites!
