We've just got back from our week long holiday in lido di jesolo, we stayed at the hotel d'annunzio, on a half board basis.
The hotel is lovely, we stayed in room number 48, which meant we had 2 bedrooms, which was good, as we were travelling with our 7yo son, and 12yo daughter, so she could have her own room. the room was big, with good sized beds, wardrobes with lots of hangers, a free safe, and a decent sized bathroom. The rooms were cleaned daily, with beds made, and fresh towels.
The pool is lovely, there are plenty of sun loungers and deck chairs, and we never had a problem getting one, there is a jacuzzi to the side of the pool, and there were even some inflatables and balls for the kids to play with!
Breakfast was basic, but OK, we only had this a couple of times, as we liked to have a sleep in, and it's served 7-9AM.
Evening meal is served at 7:00pm, there is a starter main and dessert, this would be a pasta or soup starter, choice of chefs special, or a large selection of other foods, and then a dessert... The portions are massive, and the food is very good.
Drinks are expensive, but they are everywhere in lido di jesolo, €4.50 for 40cl beer and €3.00 for a coke... But as I've said it's like that everywhere..
A trip to Venice is a must, and is really easy to get to.. Buying tickets from tobacco shop, bus stop is at the back of the hotel, and takes you straight to the ferry terminal, which will then take you across the lagoon, to Venice!!!
We had a lovely time, and will definitely be visiting Italy again.
