This hotel is right on the coast, our room, 310, had a large balcony with views over the Atlantic. The rooms are nice and roomy with a large bathroom and a small but well equipped kitchen area. The staff are very helpful and our room cleaner was great. Didnt try the restaurant as we went next door to the steak house most evenings. There are life guards for the pools and a diving school on site. We had a very enjoyable week here and cant wait to go back. The hotel also has a complimentary mini bus service to and from Funchal which was much appreciated.

Room tip: Ask for a sea view room.

Going to land at Madeira airport with Jet 2 airlines was rather scary, but both the captain and the co-pilot were funny in the comments they made to us all. The captain said This is the first time I have landed at Madeira, so it might be a bit of a bumpy landing, the co-pilot interjected and said it would be Ok as he had done it before, but we should all listen to the safety demonstration. After that hair raising experience, we ordered a Taxi to the Roc-a-Mar hotel in Conico, and found this to be doubly Hair Raising as my girlfriend almost had an accident due to the height of all the connecting roadways. However, we arrived safely at the Hotel which looked from the outside, very well looked after. Different story on the inside though. Apparently there was a problem with H1N1, (Swine Flu). There were a lot of Germans coughing and spluttering from every angle, spreading germs. On a lighter note, the cable car in Funchal is a must When you get to the top, do not miss the Toboggan Run, Plain childish fun, you will laugh for ages. Watch the amount of local Rum you knock back, because the cliffs are very high in Madeira. All in all, we would recommend this Island to anybody, it is beautiful.

Room tip: Get a high room and take Cockroach repellent with you

We arrived for a weeks holiday on b&b . The hotel room we were allocated over looked the hotel with fantastic views of the sea and wasvery modern and spacious. The kitchen area was well equipped and we had fridge kettle microwave. Beds were very comfy and our balcony was very big too. We had an excellent stay breakfast was varied and we even had champagne on sunday while we were there. The courtesy bus was great when we wanted to visit Funchal. However we went a few times on the local bus service which ran very regularly till late at night. The spar was a short walk and next to a few bars and restaurants. Lots of little lizards running around but you get used to them. One of the best holiday we have had in a few years

A perfect relaxing holiday. We were all inclusive which suits us as a family, the meals served were all good. We even had a champagne breakfast ! We ventured out to other restaurants in the area which were also very good. The hotel was lovely, clean and friendly. The views were outstanding and the sun lounger and pool area very comfortable. Our room was delightful with an amazing sea view- definitely recommend this hotel.
