Up in cannock Chase for business for 4 days. Stayed in Room 2, go back to the review from 2013. Review stated things were broken. Nothing has been repaired!!! Have had diarrhoea more firmer than the bed. Bathroom full of mould. Shame. Landlord is a nice guy. But sadly this will go down to a place to avoid in future, a bit of TLC and it could be a really nice place. No idea on brekkie as the room was so dirty(no clean sheets, towels for duration) would've hated to see the state of the kitchen.

After hotel hopping round the country for 3 months, it was a relief to find a charming, homely, old school English B&B with some personality. Rooms are comfy and clean, Steve - the owner - makes a blinding breakfast and is as friendly and welcoming as it gets. Would recommend to absolutely everyone. Ant & Zoe Walker 2016.

Steve is a lovely welcomeing hoast. And our room had a comfy night at grandmas feeling.i had a great nights sleep. Bath in main bathroom was not working. But showers were nice and hot as were rooms. Over all lovely homely clean traditional cottage feel xxx

As a professional touring musician I regularly stay in hotels and B&Bs, the quality of which varies. However, I had yet to encounter a more disappointing establishment than The Cottage B&B - from the bewildering, drunken greeting from the proprietor to the perpetually running shower in our room.
My colleague and I had booked a twin room (look after the pennies and the pounds will take care of themselves!) and were gobsmacked to be asked, by the same drunken proprietor, if we were "a couple of poofters"! Nothing like a bit of casual homophobia during check-in.
Cleanliness was clearly not high on the agenda, if the heavy cobwebs hanging from the lamps and the thick mould in the shower were anything to go by.
The beds were of varying quality: my colleague said his was very comfortable, whereas mine was like sleeping on a George Foreman grill with a sheet thrown over it.
Breakfast proved to be consistent with the venue's aforementioned features: an ashamed-looking fried concoction of beans, brittle bacon and pre-buttered toast.
In conclusion: find somewhere else. Anywhere else.
