Quite disappointed in the fact we had to share a toilet and bathroom, no water in the room but had a kettle, beds were comfy and was close to town but just wasn't quite what I expected, I suppose you pay for what you get

Yes, unfortunately you do get what you pay for. It is visible on websites such as booking.com that our cheaper rooms have shared bathrooms.
And although the tourist flats are shared facilities, the spaces are well looked after by staff to ensure they are clean and stocked well for our guests.

I stayed two nights and certainly don't regret it. I realise it would not be to everybody's taste, so you have to know what your expectations are. For $55 per night, I think I got a bargain; no other motel in Kerikeri was anywhere near as cheap. I had a one-room place with a king-sized bed, microwave, jug, and heater. No toilet, bathroom, or shower facility in the room — you have to walk round a dozen meters or so to get to the toilet/shower block. In winter that's a bit of a pain, but to be expected for such a low accommodation price.

Otherwise, it was comfortable, quiet, and clean. If and when I'm up in Kerikeri by myself again, that's where I expect to stay.

We stayed here for one night on our 3-week road trip around NZ, having chosen it on the basis of the good TA rating. Our semi-detached cabin in the woods had definitely seen better days and was showing its age. It felt tired and slightly damp, and suffered from poor soundproofing. The room came with a king bed plus single, and all the expected facilities - fridge, microwave, tea/coffee, TV (9 channels including 2 Sky Sports) but the wifi signal was so poor as to be unusable. The en suite shower room had no worktop space for laying out toiletries or cosmetics. Check in was friendly and helpful with advice on eating places in town. Orders for continental breakfast were taken at check in for delivery either to the bedroom or the "restaurant" - which turned out to be a table in the reception area. In summary, there must be more comfortable overnight stops in Kerikeri.

Just off the beaten track
This little gem in the heart of Keri Keri is a quiet retreat. Shared bathrooms for the cabins are well clean and tidy . Well appointed shared kitchen with some nice homely touches. Great price .easy to stay.

We arrived there on our 1st night, saw the beautiful native bush, swimming pool and thought what a great restful place, we were wrong. Our room was basic as were the amenities. Our door looked like it was peeling away at the bottom and the inside looked like needed a good clean as there were grubby black marks on it, didn't really understand the pillowcases being stuffed with mattress covers or the two single beds pushed together to make a double but we were only there to sleep at night so it was ok. Only major problem we had was that there didn't seem to be a noise curfew at night. First night we were kept awake until at least 1am with people outside drinking and a group in the kitchen making a racket as they cooked a late meal. We mentioned it to the office the next day. 2nd night was nice and quiet, 3rd night however we were again woken up around midnight by a drunk person stomping up and down the deck loudly shouting out, we asked politely if they would tone it down and we received swearing and verbal abuse back. We ventured out to go to the loo and the drunk person was sitting on the deck half clothed talking to himself. After much crashing and banging from him in the next room we finally got back to sleep at 2am. Our time spent up here was mostly travelling around Northland during the day so it would've been good to have been able to crash at night but no such luck. To be honest we couldn't wait to get out of there. We love Kerikeri but next time we stay here we will be looking for somewhere that is a bit less rowdy at night.

Room Tip: Rooms near the deck area and kitchen are noisy

Thanks for your review ,we appreciate any feedback Good or Bad, but need to correct some comments you have made.

There is a curfew and a phone number in your room to call the night porter if you have problems like you have
stated and this could have all been avoided ,nothing was recorded about a complaint to the office so sorry about this.

You did stay in our tourist flats at $55 a night the rooms are basic but are cleaned everyday and always fresh and tidy.

Pillow protectors are used on all pillows and are not stuffed with mattress covers.

The 2 single beds make a king bed and a King Mattress topper is put on bed as we have to separate beds to singles ocassionally this is why king singles are used.

Maybe our Executive Motel units would have been more suitable for your stay.
