Went with a friend for the first time. My first-time order at a family style Italian restaurant is minestrone soup followed by spaghetti and meatballs. We were there early - before a movie - and were still in time for lunch. The portions were just right, no need for doggie bag The minestrone was delicious, obviously homemade, Usually I find meatballs and spaghetti disappointing but this time the pasta was al dente and not drowning in sauce, the sauce was meat sauce and slightly chunky, as I like it. Really good meatballs - not the usual golfball consistency. Just a delicious dinner. I ordered a cup of minestrone to go and enjoyed it for lunch the next day.
My friend was very satisfied with her chicken dish, and had ordered an appetizer of spanakopita (gigantic) and was happy with both, with enough to take home. We'll be back to try other dishes.
