We recently moved from Flushing Queens down to the Staunton area.
We have visited several Thai restaurants from Harrisonburg down to Fisherville. We were greatly disappointed by the menus the freshness of the food and the preparation.
We were told about "Ubon Thai" by our local banker. This place is unlike any time restaurant I've ever been to In My Life. The restaurant is situated in old Victorian house beautifully decorated between 19th century American and Thai culture we will make by Ubon herself the owner. Ubon means flower and she is delightful and as Sweet as any flower could be. She told us of all the different types of food; how it was prepared and many wonderful and interesting stories about the area Thailand and her family.
The food was Tres Magnifique!
The atmosphere was simply delightful and we felt as if we were invited to the home of a long time friend .
She even surprised us at the end of our meal by giving us a wonderful traditional Thai dessert of sticky sweet rice with coconut fried.
We will go back many , many times times again. Ubon Thai is a dream come true and so is the Lady herself!
