This is a perfect rainy day activity for people who live in Northern Virginia. Your kids will be able to touch, climb, run, and jump around. The cost is very reasonable, there is ample parking, and lots of restaurants nearby. If you're tired of the crowds in DC, head out to Winchester for a nice relaxing time. I recently visited with my nephews and niece. I would say if your kids are older than 10 or 11, they might be bit bored. It's more geared towards the younger crowd.

This location is a 4 story attraction at a very reasonable cost, including military discount! There are four stories of creative, interactive experiences for all ages. Kids can go from one activity to another at their on pace and interest. There are things to do with their hands, their mind and their creativity. The only thinkg that kept me from giving 5 stars was that I would like to have seen more emphasis on sanitation and hands cleaning between activities, particularly where they are handling objects that are routinely being handled by a lot of children and not necessarily being cleaned in between. That said, the activities are wonderful and the facility is definitely unique.

Spent another 3 hours, or so, here last Saturday and as always, our little now 4 year old boy had a great time! (I did miss the piano that was no longer there though)

I’ve taken my daughter in there multiple times and she’s loved it every time. The exhibits and activities never get old and their summer camps are the best in the area. She lived their magic camp last year and plans to attend this year as well.

My family often came across a Discovery Museum in larger cities - Baltimore, Philly, etc. When one came to our little town, we were overjoyed. Apparently, so was everyone else since it was so popular, it needed a bigger building - one with four floors. This place has grown with our kids. We now have one who is not far from teenagehood and still finds many fascinating things to do here. I don't often gush about a place. This one is gush-worthy.
