It's Mardi Gras time and we always love some King Cake like we had when we visited New Orleans. Bakery Nouveau sells them by the slice ($5.50) but we ordered a whole cake ($35) instead. I ordered it on Monday for pick up on Thursday.

When we got to the store, there was a line formed outside. I believe they only allow 4 people in the store at a time so when someone leaves, the next person goes in. Our cake was sitting on a table to the side for pick up, but I wanted to get more goodies so we waited at the counter. We picked up 2 slices of vegetarian pizza, and a Kouign-Amann.

Bakery Nouveau never disappoints. The King Cake was so good! There were even beads and a baby on top of the cake for decoration. It really is a great treat once a year. The pizza and Kouign-Amann were also delicious.

Bakery Nouveau in Burien is the best place to find really great pastries. I often have small business meetings there. The food is great and the service is good.

This is now my go to spot for chi desserts, BREAKFAST treats, bread, cookies & treats.
Sometimes the lines are a little long but it is er worth the wait.
Like most people i get things to go. The tables are often full. The outside patio is nice if its not raining.

We have purchased several cakes recently. To a person, they get a big thumbs-up! The chocolate cake with chocolate frosting and chocolate filling is a bit bland; add some chocolate chips and it'll taste better. JK, it's great the way it is.

Rarely can you find a place that is so great at everything they do!
The breads, macaroons, cookies, desserts, pastries, cakes, and sandwiches are all wonderful. The ingredients are top notch and everything is massively fresh! I must admit I have not has coffee or espresso drinks there yet.
The staff is so friendly, helpful and kind!

You do need to call ahead for big orders . This place gets super busy and sells out of things.
