My wife and I were staying at the Camas Hotel and wanted to try a nice restaurant close by. Before we even checked in, we made a reservation at Feast at 316, which is about 2 blocks from the hotel. Good thing we did. That place fills up fast! The meal we had was very good. My wife had baked brie for a starter, while I had a 3-Beet salad. We ended up sharing both of them. Some of the beets were a bit on the firm side, but quite tasty. The baked brie had some kind of nuts mixed in that gave it a nice crunchy goodness. We washed it down with a glass of some pretty good New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. It was a bit spendy at first glance, but they gave us a very generous pour. For an entree, my wife had “bronzed” salmon with asparagus. while I had the bison steak special. Both were delicious. The bison came with “dirty barley” as a side – actually various veggies and some pine nuts mixed in. That was very nice too. The wine list is on the small side, but it had some interesting offerings. I picked out a Washington Tempranillo from a producer called Kennedy Shah. I figured it would stand up to the bison, while not overpowering the salmon. I think I did OK. As for dessert, I am a sucker for crème brulee, so when I saw it on the menu, resistance was futile. It was also a bit on the expensive side, but it did not come in some ‘sissy' shallow ramekin – it was a souffle ramekin! It was quite adequate for the two of us. To top things off, our server person Danielle was attentive and personable. She helped make the evening a great experience. Well done!
Good selection of local beer on tap. I wasn't hungry enough for a full meal and didn't want leftovers since we were traveling. Therefore I ordered a side of truffle mac n cheese. It was amazing! Heather took care of us and she was super nice! Very nice atmosphere. We were there during happy hour and had some of the specials.
We decided to celebrate 1st wedding anniversary locally and since this was a heavy rain/windy forecast, we decided to try something close to home and we are glad we did; now we have our own GREAT restaurant to go to, locally.
the Service was outstanding, drinks unique - ribeye steak was "To Die for" ... perfectly cooked and sizzling HOT ....
we need to go back just to try everything else on menu .. the folks next to us were having a blast - will be back this weekend 4sure!
They recently changed the menu, and I had the eggplant pasta dish, was very good but not enough eggplant. The server said that I should request more of it next time. I love the "farm to table" feel of Feast, and that it's a local restaurant.
