We stopped in for a weekday breakfast to a fairly empty restaurant and were seated immediately. The place was immaculate and looked like it was caught in a 1940’s or 50’s time warp. Service was very prompt and the staff and servers were outgoing and friendly. I ordered the corned beef hash, which was the special of the day, and my wife had a cheese omelet. Both orders came up quickly, were piping hot and sized for lumberjacks! While I knew my dish came with 3 poached eggs, we presumed the same for the omelet based on its size. As if that wasn’t enough, our plates came with a very large portion of hash browns and 2 slices of toast. Both our meals were good and satisfying though my wife could only eat half of hers. Plus, the attentive server replenished our coffee with such speed that we never saw the bottom of the cup. If you want an old-fashioned breakfast with a down-home feel, you won’t go wrong here.

Located between EDmonds and Richmond Beach, in a little pocket of unincorporated King County, calle Firdale, sits this homestyle place. Since we are moving to the are we thought we give it a try as breakfast seems to be a main stay of their business. We were not disappointed. The staff is very friendly and it would seem if you go often enough, as was evidenced by so many people being called by name, that you too will be amongst them. Nice breakfast menu with so many old time favs, we cant wait to go back and try more.

I found this gem through previous reviews. It is a nice family run diner that does a great business. We stopped in for breakfast and the place was packed. The service was fast and the food was good. Prices are also very reasonable. We plan on coming back.
