I am traveling with my husband and two grown daughters, and I thought that Forks seemed well-situated for visits to various parts of Mt. Olympic National Park. We stayed in the suite that is upstairs, above the owners' home. Walking up the outside steps to our assigned room caused us to have a little trepidation, but what a surprise when we opened the door! There was a well-furnished suite, amply fortified with fluffy towels and soaps. #3 has 3 queen sized beds in two bedrooms, so there is plenty of space. All of the furniture and decoration is antique, but clean and not cluttered. In fact, I wonder if #3 has recently had a makeover, because the walls have lovely paint and the floors are also very nice. The bathroom is quite nice, nd the shower is SUPERB! I liked the bed linens as well; very nice, stiff cotton. The suite cost the same as a cabin, but lacks the full kitchen (though there is a little refrigerator). Since our stay was short, we didn't need the cooking capabilities, and the continental breakfast was sufficient (variety of pastries, fresh fruit, coffee, tea). I'm sorry to see that other reviewers did not have a good experience, but the negative reviews I read all seem to be about the cabins. Give this country-chic suite a try!
