This was our second time staying at The Bavarian Ritz Hotel. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The manager was friendly and the check in and check out processes are very easy.
We'll definitely be back!

The rooms are somewhat pricey for the area but the central location helps out quite a bit, especially when the roads are not ideal. Both nights we stayed, people were smoking pot upstairs in the rooms which made for a rather repugnant experience. With no one at the "front desk" after 6:00 we tried to ignore it the best we could.

Good thing we called ahead to say would be arriving late as the office closes early. Our paperwork and keys were put in a lock box. The rooms are on the second floor of the building (bottom floor full of shops and restaurants). Two keys are needed (one for the front door and one for your room). You would think that if travelers are expected in a room the heat would be turned up. That was not the case when we arrived. The room was 55 degrees. We cranked the heat and the electric fireplace. Thankfully we were there for only one night. The bed wasn't bad, though the room was somewhat small. The next morning the office was still closed (at 11 am). We had to call to check out, leaving the keys in the lock box. For the price we paid there are far better accommodations in Leavenworth. The only positives are the location and free parking.

I read your review three times trying to find what you are complaining about still can't figure what you complaining about. So you were a late arrival and you picked up your keys from a lockbox and you got into your room in less than two minutes of your arrival. If that is your complaint please go all over the internet and tell everybody. Your other complaint is the rooms are on the second floor and there are shops and restaurants are on the second floor. You are absolutely right, all of our rooms are on the second floor and there are shops and restaurants on the first floor. If that is bothering you that much I give you my sincere apologies. As for the temperature in the room it is suppose to be set at 65 it will be a waste of energy to have it at 80, and like you said the room is small so it won't take long to achieve desired temperature in the room. As for checking out 99.99 percent of guests don't have to call us to check out we have clear signs where you need too drop the keys at checkout time if the office is not open. Only 0.01 percent fell the need to call to drop the keys in the lockbox. Merry Christmas and Happy new year.

We parked our car at the hotel at check in and ate and drank our way through Leavenworth. The location is great, the room was comfortable, the staff was kind and it was exactly what we were expecting. Thanks for the fun time! See you next Christmas!

We were hoping to revisit the experiences from our time in Germany but were left underwhelmed. Not only did the hotel fail to meet the Bavarian experience, it just plain needed updating. It would serve the proprietors well to visit Bavaria, pay attention to the details, and then incorporate them into the hotel.

we just spent all summer remodeling and spent tremendous time and effort and money doing that, you might not have noticed because you never been in our hotel before, but our repeat customers notice and know that. Our building is over a hundred and ten years old as all of the buildings in downtown Leavenworth, I can spend a million dollar on remodeling and people will still suggest to remodel. You can do so much and spend so much money before it gets ridiculous. And sorry our hotel was not Bavarian enough for you.
