We were very happy with this unique hotel, the location was walking distance to ice-fest and shops and restaurants. The room was large, the bed was clean and comfortable, the sofa bed was also plenty big. I liked the coffee pot and tea in the hallway it was very convenient, all in all the hotel more than adequately met our needs.

Room Tip: River view will have less street and traffic noise, but its not really necessary

We had a king jaccuzi room. Room was nice but was only able to use the jaccuzi once because there was only slightly warm water. And maid service NEVER cleaned the room so we didn't get our garbage emptied or clean towels for the entire stay. Staff was nice tho.

This was our second time staying at The Bavarian Ritz Hotel. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The manager was friendly and the check in and check out processes are very easy.
We'll definitely be back!

The rooms are somewhat pricey for the area but the central location helps out quite a bit, especially when the roads are not ideal. Both nights we stayed, people were smoking pot upstairs in the rooms which made for a rather repugnant experience. With no one at the "front desk" after 6:00 we tried to ignore it the best we could.

Good thing we called ahead to say would be arriving late as the office closes early. Our paperwork and keys were put in a lock box. The rooms are on the second floor of the building (bottom floor full of shops and restaurants). Two keys are needed (one for the front door and one for your room). You would think that if travelers are expected in a room the heat would be turned up. That was not the case when we arrived. The room was 55 degrees. We cranked the heat and the electric fireplace. Thankfully we were there for only one night. The bed wasn't bad, though the room was somewhat small. The next morning the office was still closed (at 11 am). We had to call to check out, leaving the keys in the lock box. For the price we paid there are far better accommodations in Leavenworth. The only positives are the location and free parking.

I read your review three times trying to find what you are complaining about still can't figure what you complaining about. So you were a late arrival and you picked up your keys from a lockbox and you got into your room in less than two minutes of your arrival. If that is your complaint please go all over the internet and tell everybody. Your other complaint is the rooms are on the second floor and there are shops and restaurants are on the second floor. You are absolutely right, all of our rooms are on the second floor and there are shops and restaurants on the first floor. If that is bothering you that much I give you my sincere apologies. As for the temperature in the room it is suppose to be set at 65 it will be a waste of energy to have it at 80, and like you said the room is small so it won't take long to achieve desired temperature in the room. As for checking out 99.99 percent of guests don't have to call us to check out we have clear signs where you need too drop the keys at checkout time if the office is not open. Only 0.01 percent fell the need to call to drop the keys in the lockbox. Merry Christmas and Happy new year.
