Mozart's is the perfect dark little restaurant for a romantic evening. We had reservations, which we were early for, but we got sat right away. Their drink menu is full of a perfect selection, as well as a nice list of beer choices. My suggestion would be to plan your meal well. Their appetizers aren't small from what I saw. We ordered the fondue, and it could have been a meal on it's own! But everything is so tasty you don't want to stop eating! The service was wonderful as well, everyone was super friendly. Also there is live music being played on a piano which really adds to the mood.

We ate dinner here as a family on Valentines day. Made reservations in advance. Service was friendly, the food was very good. Particular standout was the escargot served with French bread and mushrooms. We've had escargot in France and this rivaled the best we've ever had.

The jäger snitzel was also the best we've had in Leavenworth with the tastiest spaetzel.

Be sure to save room for desert.

We had eaten there previously and had decent meal experience, albeit with appalling service. This time, we walked in @6:00pm in a Friday evening, saw that only half the tables were free and were told that without a reservation we would be seated @8:45pm. We were made to believe that we were clearly not welcome there without a reservation. This is NOT a gourmet 5 star Michelin but clearly the deluded host thought that was where he was working.

Extraordinarily rude staff is the rule we now know to expect here.

I want to start by saying I'm a bit hesitant to write anything other than a 5-star review, as I'll clearly get a sharp rebuttal from the owner/manager. But in the interest of giving an honest review, here goes:
First, the good. The escargot was phenomenal, and we'll return for that alone. It's served in a hollowed out baguette, which was crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, just as a proper baguette should be. The snails were perfectly cooked, the sauce was divine...this dish really hit it out of the park! My husband had a beet salad that he also loved. Great wine selection and good beers as well, so we were set for drinks and appetizers.
Next, the average. Our entrees were good. They weren't great. I had the gnocchi with pumpkin sauce, which was fine, but didn't live up to the promise of the appetizer round. My husband had the Land and Sea. The steak was well-cooked, the prawns were unremarkable.
We had a 7:30 reservation, and a nice table for 2 at the windows was ready for us. The gentleman who "seated" us came from behind the stand and pointed us to the table, already set with menus. Our server was very friendly and kind, but the service was a bit awkward, as she wanted our entire order when we ordered drinks. It was a Friday evening and we'd driven in just a short time earlier and were looking for a leisurely meal vs a quick bite. Another thing that's not a deal breaker, but not my expectation of what's described as a fine dining restaurant.
All in all, Mozart's was good, but it wasn't great. I wavered between 3 and 4 stars, would have given 3.5 if possible. I erred on the generous side because neither of us had schnitzel or any of their more traditional meals and I don't want to unfairly rate them without having done so. Truly, a little more on the customer service side would have pushed this to an enthusiastic 4.

the food was amazing, the mixed drinks ordinary, ambiance quite unusual serenaded by dubious piano music (in a place with Mozart's name- not sure he would have appreciated the level of expertise of the pianist). Noisy roudy neighbouring tables, but the food made up for it all, and the service was great
